  • Isn't it true for those of us older folks, we all did LC growing up. Not that it was called LC, I can remember while loving sweets, still only occasionally getting something sweet, sweets were a rare treat. We, just as a normal part of life, ate one serving during meals. . . . .yes, the holidays were more like many ppl eat…
  • I have never tried this, what do you plan to eat?
  • How did you manage on Sunday doing the hike? Was your energy level ok? Thanks for sharing menu, looks good and what a great life lesson--- those were nice days for me with dorm living and dorm eating.
  • @Sunny_Bunny_ Thanks for chart , never saw before. OP --- you're getting great responses, I take D3, K2, magnesium, omegas, PRE-natals, Geritol and Centrum Silver. Sometimes also CoQ10. Most days I keep the carbs right around 50 grams. :)
  • @nvmomketo my circle of friends exactly the same and sadly enough, many of them are on quite a few medications for GERD, hbp, diabetes etc. when we eat out, it almost hurts to see what is being ordered.
  • YES , this is what I sometimes do, add butter or bacon fat to meats that are extra lean, works perfectly. Thanks for Bacon, Meatloaf and all the great pictures, support here is phenomenal :)

  • We who are following the LcHf, IM or Keto and read the forums often find it hard to believe that CiCo is favored by the vast majority of those who post opinions. One reason given is that cutting out rice, pasta, most breads, cakes, grains etc is not sustainable. The truth is eating at a deficit or staying within the TDEE…
  • Kerry Gold and other products we use are now in vogue, still so many ppl still prefer "I can't believe it's not butter" .....but progress is being made.

  • LcHf has the potential to save the health of millions of people who can not eat simple sugars and high glycemic carbs sensibly.....if only people would try this. My LcHf way of eating works for me because I am an Abstainer, high glycemic carbs were not foods I was able to eat in moderation. It's my decision to eat & enjoy…
  • It's a huge "food order" business, around $80 per week I think, food orders mailed to you door. For me this wouldn't work, 20% of calories from my "own choices" is a recipe for creating cravings. Good Luck to the Brady's though in this endeavor.
  • What do you mean...have you made any progress @Agefyter?

  • A good word of advice I've had to accept, it was hard to do--- but yes I do weigh myself now about once a week. Seems it's important to face the scale head on :)
  • Hello @Agefyter Just checking in , I'm in agreement with you, let's get this group going again.
  • Hi I'm Linia and am wondering why we can't get this group going.
  • Exactly, there is so much going on in the world of health & fitness, it would be nice to share our views.
  • Am going to really try to commit to drinking more water, plain water ---most days only getting 4 to 6 cups and really believe this impacts and downgrades overall health. Thanks for posting this challenge and March will be the "more water" month for me. Good Luck everyone :) ;) :)
  • The carbs I eat are low carb veggies, avocado etc ... I do not eat sugar/carbs such as rice & pasta etc. No deprivation here and no cravings either, My favourites are High Fat; olive oil, Kerry gold butter & HWC. The very low carb lifestyle is how we are meant to eat. Love my baconOP you're right to cut pasta, rice etc…
  • The OP can't eat any type of NUT, not sure if she can have seeds or not.
  • @bluelemonegg Some ppl use hard boiled eggs as an easy to prepare snack , there are a few protein bars without nuts and I have nut allergies, so completely get what you're asking. Are you allowed to eat pickles?
  • This is also my WOE, you may find recipes here: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/112055-the-low-carb-high-fat-recipes-group-lchf
  • You're ok, all you do is add a note to your Friends here that your watch doubled your fitness, you are getting more credit in Blk & white, but you're posting the truth on your feed. This has happened to me with my Apple watch once or twice, you're not doing anything intentionally and you're not in a race. This is personal…
  • Really enoyed Book of Mormon, can never see certain ones too many times; Fiddler is one such. Also saw Rent, Miss Saigon, Phantom, Les Miserables, Carole King musical......others too. <3 <3 <3 Would like to see "Company"
  • Active--add a picture and other details--are u n the US or the UK or??????
  • For coffee and decaf I add dark chocolate liquid Stevia, it's very good.
  • @nightengale7 My girlfriend gives the dog she walks meat because his "mom & dad" are vegetarians , so perhaps TB does tweak his food choices a little when away from home. This friend believes people can elect to eat special diets but that it's cruel to do that to a dog. @GaleHawkins interesting thread!
  • BUMP---excellent to read and reread!
  • LUV Tea---great thread to start OP, twice lately i've had this heavenly and delicious green tea in a cloud---once at Starbuck's and the other time at a restaurant in Boca Raton, Fl..both times added Stevia & kerry green butter. Quite Nice!!!!
