YES--two posts from her and NADA on this topic after getting it going. My guess, we helped her with a school assignment. BS or MS, maybe a degree in Nutrition or Nursing.

Part of the challenge is that knowing there is no cushion without getting down to goal. My goal is to weigh less than I did when I was 9 months preggos --- I'm within 6 pounds of it now. My calories are set at 1200 per day but I have to admit to eyeballing the portions and don't weigh or measure anything. .. .so far…

I agree , hard to believe Nurse kept going so many times on you, but as you said, at that time you didn't know about other health issues.....it is true that ppl think nothing about telling someone else what to eat & how to live. I'm always amazed with the advice I get .... esp when it's from people who don't have my common…

I'd continue to try to lose those pounds while you likely have a "great" metabolism, if you are eating any processed foods, eliminate them: When I was young, the only morbidly obese person I saw was the fat man at the circus. He was big, but nowadays I see people who are much larger all over the place. The old 'fat' has…

Yes , it has been nice to communicate using "what's app" and I hope one day to travel to meet in person , we did "FaceTime".

Had never heard of factor V lieden----now after reading your question on doing a bit more reading about the Factor V, losing weight is very important to help to decrease your chances of forming the unwanted blood clots or developing thrombosis. Since your health risk is very high and it is difficult to get your Partner to…

Once again , a misunderstanding - I'm eating LcHf and began eating that way in January of 2016. Sure, I'd like to lose around 5 pounds but I'm not about to stop eating LcHF. After I originally asked the above question , it was a surprise to me that anyone could think my question was for me to change my WOE, no it was just…

@GottaBurnEmAll You might have me confused with someone here with a very similar name, i began LcHf in January of this year and haven't stalled or deviated. I have lost maybe 12 or 14 pounds and would like to lose another 5 or so. Clothing size from an 8 to now a 4. Sorry but i'm sure i haven't been posting progress pics,…

Be prepared for change, the person you meet and marry will evolve and not stay the same...sometimes the evolution has to do with jobs, career paths, influences of friends etc but also finances & health play a huge factor. So i'd say that most important is to be flexible and after that, don't expect every year to encounter…

Welcome back and hope you're fine now - let me know if you need help here. :)

It's very hard to wrap my mind around the big "why" , in other words: "Why isn't this way of eating and handling diabetes, obesity, etc plus other medical issues being shared with the larger community." Hopefully you're right and more ppl will learn the truth about flour, rice, pasta & sugar.

Hello @ladyteapot :D If you can..edit your title to mention your specific location---at least then you may receive ppl who are "KINDA" nearby your area. :)

@KiwiJo42 What exactly did you eat, what were your foods?

@KiwiJo42 Could you please tell us what you actually ate doing your VlCd? Thanks

DONNER's Pass USA Mid 1800's.........ugh, i hope i'd have the strength to not even consider it. "As the blizzard progressed, Patrick Dolan began to rant deliriously, stripped off his clothes, and ran into the woods. He returned shortly afterwards and died a few hours later. Not long after, possibly because 12-year-old…

Hi @ProCoffeenator Are you eating pickles? They make a wonderful snack and the kosher brand I buy are Zero calories. Also I've found organic & nitrite free genoa or calabrese salami, it's salty and delicious. Since beginning this woe my salt of choice is Himilayan Pink salt, use it liberally and add it to your hamburger,…

WAY 2 GO!!!!! it's a great woe and no hunger!!!!!

If you want to open your food diary, you'll likely get some helpful ideas. As it is now, I could recommend things you're already eating. What I like best about the LcHf woe is how easy it is. For me it is great that I don't need to do a lot to follow this lifestyle and I can spend my free time doing things that I enjoy. So…
