I get to the gym by 5:45 in the morning before my husband leaves for work. Over and done with and I am not tempted to skip!

Yes, you should allow at least one rest day a week. I have been training for a marathon (my 10th). I typically run or cross-train 6 days a week. Your body needs recovery. Like the other post said, it is just as important as the exercise!

I work out longer and harder. I have more time. Plus I usually eat a little more on weekends so it evens out.

Awesome thread - well for a 5'6" girl :-) I am 144.5 lbs now and would LOVE to be around 132. My frame is probably medium. I am however trying to not give a hoot about the scale and try to make my goal finishing a half ironman.
