What Nuke says. Use whatever tastes better, if you need to. I am a diabetic, so I avoid sugar, since I count carbs, and generally use Splenda, and have for years to no ill effect, because I like my coffee (lots of it) sweet.

I think you've reached the point where you stop the daily weigh-in. It only works if you can handle the normal fluctuations. Once you become obsessed with it, (and it likely happens as you get closer), I think you should back off. I think this happens to everybody. From one who knows..

Just got a Polar FT7, and I love it. It has a chest strap, and I think I trust it's accuracy more than any other device I've used, and I've used several.

WE use the Withings, which syncs to MFP and others, but let's face it, your weight will fluctuate over the course of the day. If those fluctuations worry you, try picking the same time, the same day each week. It's a relative measurement, after all, and only one of many.
