I'm often ravenous at bed time. I just keep trying to tell myself that's the feeling of unwanted pounds melting away and that the scale will make me happy in the morning. Be strong. You can do this.

Congratulations on your successful journey to healthy. Isn't it amazing what can be accomplish when we finally get to the right mindset and how our bodies respond when we take care of them?!

Waaayyyyyy over 40! (63) Been hanging around MFP for about 3 1/2 years. Lost 95 lbs, but took a nosedive over the holidays. Tightening back up on the logging again to get rid of the winter "accumulation!" Good luck, everyone!

Mine's open, too, but I also tend to eat a lot of "repeat" meals...

Sarah, this is something you're going to have to experiment with. When I ate at the maintenance calories that MFP gave me, I started gaining. You'll just have to take your time and experiment. Try upping 100 calories a day to start if you still are losing, up it another 100, etc. You'll find your "sweet spot!"

I've turned into quite the shopaholic because EVERYTHING fits and EVERYTHING looks good! It's an awesome feeling but I know I'm spending too much on clothes and shoes. 3 closets in my house all full of MY clothes! May need an intervention? ??!!!

Dumped the rest of the gelato in the sink this morning, knowing if it stayed in the freezer I would succumb....

Congrats to you on meeting your goal. Yes, it's hard. So many of us can relate but....you did it!!!! Woohoo!!!
-
Wow! Wow! Wow! What a great team effort! You both look so wonderful and happy. Congrats!!!

Snackaholic here, too. To avoid snacking, I'll frequently go to bed early with a good book or movie/tv show that I like. It just seems like distancing myself from the refrigerator/kitchen helps. Also, try not to purchase too much of the snack food - temptation can just be too great.

This thread is making me smile (thank you! ) but also making me hungry! I think I'd kill for a graham cracker about now!

Never, ever give up!

Good luck! Weigh and measure EVERYTHING and be patient. This DOES work.

Good job kicking the meth habit and losing the weight! If you are strong enough to achieve these two monumental goals, I would think you would be strong enough to not give a flying F about what others think about how you did it. I feel that if you continue to "walk the walk" in front of these people, i.e., eat healthy,…

I lost 95 pounds and I ate carbs. I think it's because I ate EVERYTHING in moderation and correct portions that I was able to succeed. In the past, when I drastically reduced or eliminated a certain food or food group, that is what led to my multiple failures. Except all this talk of donuts....... :D
-
I'm also chiming in on the CICO theory. 95 lbs lost that way. Oh, and I did and still do eat carbs. I think consistently logging and not depriving myself of certain foods has been the key to my success.

Weigh and measure EVERYTHING, be patient and NEVER, EVER give up!

How about trimming them, then shave your first initial in one & last initial in the other...or dollar signs or shamrocks/flowers. No, really, their your pits -do what you want with them!

Congrats! And....Twoterville. ..Love it!
-
Well done! Nice to know you can be successful long term.
-
Be very patient and never, ever give up. Follow the advice given above. You CAN do it!
-
What a difference! You're doing this!
-
Congratulations!!! You're crossed another "stepping stone" toward your goal. Feels good, doesn't it?!
-

-
Congratulations! Love these success stories. That's a lot of hard work and look how it shows!

When you notice your "butt imprint" in the recliner is bigger than the state of Texas!
-
Congratulations! You really have changed your lifestyle and that's what you need (what we all need) to succeed in weight loss and into maintenance. Aren't you proud of yourself? !!!

I was the primary caregiver for my mother for 5 years before she died. It was the most difficult thing I've ever done in my life. The stress --oh, the stress. It was almost too much to bear. Food was my drug of choice. There was not a minute in my life to dedicate to myself. 5 years after my Mom died is when my "bell went…
