I would stay true to the 1500 calorie. For those of us who have such a hard time losing it & keeping it off (I'm including myself) there's no way in hell I'd jump to 2500 per day. Make sure you are logging every tiny morsel and weighing/measuring everything. I would NOT go down to 550 calories - you may risk damaging your…

It's free, it's helped me get fit and healthy. I consider it a gift and I refuse to complain about a few issues.

Wow, there's an acronym for EVERYTHING these days. :# I've paddle boarded before, it's fun but I prefer to paddle sitting in my yak!

What is SUP?

Nuts tend to constipate me. Whenever I eat beans for dinner, it's usually "smooth sailing" the next morning. And, when I started my healthy lifestyle, I would go like every two or three days. You don't tend to go as much when you're eating a lot less. At least that's what I experienced.

Went for 2 hours Saturday and it was wonderful. I do agree about MFP overestimating calories burned.

Exercise is good for arthritis. Start with short, gentle walks and slowly increase length and speed of your walks. STOP making excuses or you will not succeed. You can even do exercises sitting in your chair!
-
As well you should be excited! Congratulations - you should be so proud of yourself. What an accomplishment!

The closer you get to goal, the slower the rate of loss. It took me a year and a half to lose 95 lbs. You don't have to eat back exercise calories and definitely add in exercise...even 15 minutes a day will help. You can find the time if you really want this.

It took me a year and a half to lose 95 lbs. Patience.....patience....patience.....

Karen 61 in FL. 95 pounds down. You can do it if you really want it.

Mine's open. I don't think any of my friends have ever commented negatively on what I eat and if they did - I wouldn't give a Flip because what I've been doing has worked for me tremendously!

French toast with 40 calorie a slice bread! Yummmmmm!!!!

You are going to succeed... I just know it. I like to run/walk very early a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings when the rest of the world seems to still be sleeping. I'm in FL so it's cooler then as well. I think you should eat the free dessert, but try just eating half of it? You surely seem to be active enough. Accuracy…

Yay!!! This is awesome!!! You look wonderful. (I bet you feel sod much better, too, huh?) Will you share the spaghetti squash recipe?
-
Dam! Great job! Aren't you so proud of yourself?
-
It happened to me, too - like a bolt of lightening struck me while sitting in a recliner stuffing food in my mouth. I actually said out loud "what are you doing to yourself?!!! You have got to stop eating like this and start moving! If you don't do something about this, you're going to die!" That was 95 pounds ago. I think…

Went to a business meeting yesterday. One of my male coworkers commented about my dramatic weight loss and what a nice figure I have! Not bad for a 61 year ol' fart! I'll take it!

Also try the Hospice thrift stores for some great clothes. I got a beautiful black leather (Gap) jacket there for $12.00...it looks brand new. I've also gotten clothes with the original price tags on them. It's a treasure hunt when I go there!

Spleen Thief, you are a hard core mortal sinner! I love it! (As Billy Joel said it best, "the sinners are much more fun!")
-
Kudos to you, fellow Floridian!!! I agree - the "high" from the race atmosphere and crossing the finish line - they are what spurs me as well. (5k-er here, cuz I'm old!!!) ;)
-
I've lost 95 pounds and with those pounds the ability to get a good night sleep! I slept great when I was 95 lbs heavier and I just don't understand it. I do think the stresses of my job "get to me" easier as I get older and cause anxiety. Careful with the higher professional position - stress can be a killer! I'm thinking…

Good job - both of you, but that devil........whooo......what did you use for the red? And...did you have hard time getting it off?!!!
-
That's an awesome loss - a little aggressive but awesome nonetheless. It will get slower.....don't "crash & burn."
-
Bless your heart! I would relax. Maybe eat 1/2 of everything (all of undressed salad) and enjoy your little party. You're right - one day won't "ruin everything." You can handle this - have faith in yourself.

I started at age 59 @ 240 lbs. I'm now 61 and 145 lbs (my goal). It took a year and a half. It CAN be done.

You are lovely. Words of bullies can cut like a knife. It's a crime that people think it's acceptable to speak to another human being this way. Congrats on your transformation and getting healthier, but you were beautiful in your "before " pictures as well.

Again, Robertw486, love your "mindset!"
