this thread by far made me laugh more than anything! Thanks, i needed it :drinker: :flowerforyou:

i wasn't doing the raw food diet, was eating 1700 per day and STILL stopped getting my cycle for 5 months. Some bodies just don't seem to appreciate the change.
-
^^ ditto what they said. I lost 127 lbs when i was 21/22 and had no loose skin at all. Most of my exercise came from walking, with a few workout tapes here and there.

I'm right there with you. It took me 18 months and gaining almost ALL of it back, but it was hard. I tried doing what i did before (pick a day and just do it) but it just didn't work for me. So this time, i spent a month working on my eating habits first (addressed the snacking, portion size and food choices issues) and it…

i feel that way A LOT, unfortunately for me, i then get to "screw it" and binge for days

bring it! :drinker:

my thoughts exactly! it was the FIRST thing i looked for!

(((hugs))) i'm so sorry your husband is like that.. I had the opposite problem, despite gaining almost 100 lbs, my now ex husband did everything he could to sabotage my diet and that sucked too. Hang in there.

ugh.. i had to stop reading it!!
-
i've read that it takes up to a year for your brain to catch up to your body. Give it time.. it WILL pass. Otherwise, you gain all the weight back (like i did... learn from my mistakes.)

if you like onions, dice and sautee them in cooking spray (pam, etc) and use sauteed onions instead of butter or margarine on veggies. Saves a ton of calories!
-
not as much as browns fans are!
-
our local radio stations said the homeless diet means you eat off of $1.50 a day.... like cheap eggs, cheap bread, etc. they said nothing about eating paper

THIS!!

This happens to me too. The upside is NOW, you know your body rejects crap and you will just about get sick just looking at it.
-
as someone who is and has been in your foot steps, let me also call attention to this: if you have that little money for food, how are you going to buy all the new clothes that you will need from losing weight?
-
yup! up at 5, put coffee on and hit the treadmill while it brews :) takes some getting used to, but well worth it
-
mine took around 45 to lose...kinda. After 3 kids the lower one has enough skin to still have a little flap, but it is getting less flappy. HANG IN THERE!
-
amen! it's the single biggest reason i will NEVER join another gym as long as i live.. gym snobs sorry... holier than thou gym snobs

old favorites?? anything too high in calories to even THINK about logging.. and just eating. no weighing or measuring, just eating.

i'm with you! Even in my early 40's with almost 100 extra lbs, my medical tests and exams put me at more like 27 (and no family history of health issues on either side of the family, both sides having weight issues) But there is no mistaking the better quality of life with fewer lbs to carry around.

Jan. 2: #7 1:18 #8 1:38 (plus 3 minutes of playing airplane with my 7 year old ;)

bwhaaaa haaa haaa!!! still like f*cktard better, but bonus points for adding "sparkle" to lighten the mood :)

LOL! exactly!

doesn't sound like enough calories to me. I stalled out after 3 weeks because MFP set my cals too low. Check out www.fat2fitradio.com. They seemed to be more accurate. Another way would be a version of WW... for your goal weight you want to be at 1200 (they don't recommend lower than that) and for every 10 lbs add 50…
