Feel free to add me! I'm back to logging daily and always ready to support.

You have all the motivation you need inside yourself! You were strong enough to start your account on here, so I have no doubt that you can use that same motivation to bring yourself to where you need to be health wise! Love yourself for who you are in this moment right now, and move forward knowing you already have…

If motivation is what you need, feel free to add me. After overcoming an eating disorder, I now realize that being positve with yourself and having that external support is the key to getting past it all. I'll always be here to give that!

I understand that perspective. But recently mine has changed becasue of IF. Let me explain to the best of my abilities. My TDEE is ~2600 calories for a 208 pound, 5'9 male. Everyday I eat at least 2600 calories. It isn't easy but I get it done. Do I obess over calories and count every single one? No. But I've done this…

I am not trying to advising anything really. I'm trying to convey they freedom that IF can give. If using 5:2 with a deficit works for you, then by all means do that. If you find something that works for your goals, then do that. To undersand my perspective, I do 16:8 and eat to a maitenence every day. Yet, I have lost 32…

Ok, you can pick apart grammar all day, or you can accept the point I'm attempting to make. Many people use CICO as a method to count calories, and do not understand the difference. Call it a mathematical equation, call it whatever you want, but please debate my main paoint rather than my grammar.
-
I am not disputing that CICO is a way to lose weight. I simply brought up a perspective that CICO can't completely explain. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/02/health/biggest-loser-weight-loss.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=photo-spot-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news&_r=1 One has…

Well, there's two sides to this argument IMO. One, if all that matters is pure weight loss (fat and muscle), then CICO is mathmatically correct. Eg. The biggest loser. They eat low calories and have a high output trough exercise and drop a tremendous amount of weight. However, if you follow these contestants for a few…

Personally, I take a general multivitamin, B complex, Magnesium, Kelp, Curcumin and fish oils. But as repeated above, the only way to know what you need is to talk to your doctor and see what you are deficient in.

Don't be afraid of fats! Eating fat does not make you fat. But I do agree that restaurants do not give 2 ****s about your health

The thing about some fasting protocols is that calorie restriction on your "up" days shouldn't be the focus. Personally, I have to eat well above my TDEE or else the weight flies off way too fast, and there is some strength loss. Again, I believe fasting should be a lifestyle change, with weight loss being a biproduct of…

Personally, I do the 16:8 split, but do throw in a few 24-36 hour fasts here and there. I've had great success in all aspects of life using fasting protocols. I say just choose the method you find most convenient for yourself and stick to it. Add me if you have any questions or need support!

And wreck your metabolism while losing muscle? No thank you. Fasting is not a new concept. I would encourage you to read up on the subject, as I have found intermittent fasting to be extremely healhy, gives me more energy and lets me enjoy my foods without obsessing over meal prep and calories. Fasting allows for increased…

Before I start, I just want to say I am in no way connected to this book. All it did was change my life. I had crazy brain fog. Like, can't focus on a task level of brain fog. I do not have a chronic pain issue, but I always had aches and pains. So I turned my focus on parts of my life that were lacking, and one of things…

Just to reiterate what everyone else said above: Eat in a way you can sustain for life, not for four months then yoyo to a higher weight than before. If your goal is to lose weight (fat and muscle) then setting a realist calorie goal is the way to go (might be higher than you think!). If your goal is to lose strictly fat,…

As said above, I'd bump your carbs up to about 30 gs. Cheeses, coconut/olive oil, avocado, macadamia nuts/almonds are staples in the diet. Personally, I wouldn't worry so much about total calorie count; if you stick to your carb macro count, keep protein at a moderate amount and eat fats to satiety, then you should be…

As much as I agree with this, the way she is describing her binges do sound like BED. I personally battle with BED, and I can relate to what she s describing here. OP, I would encourage you to first make sure that your diet is no too restrictive. Remember, change for life, not just a few weeks or a month. Talk to your…

How are you sleeping? What are your stress levels like? These two factors are often overlooked but are a key to healthy living and weight loss. Regardless, what the people said before me is true: 800 cal is not enough. Add in working out, and your body probably isn't able to function. There is a point of diminishing…
