I've slacked off too. I injured my back a couple of weeks ago and pretty much went off eating right and lifting all together. However, I'm psyching myself up to get back into both on a regular basis. If I don't log my food, I end up eating WAY too much. One thing that helps me get motivated is to read success stories or…

Thanks. I thought I had it right (15 reps per leg) but I was thinking too much lol. And yeah I have to be careful doing them myself

You can add me. I've done really well so far eating 1890+ calories per day! I love it!

I agree with this...I have a couple of friends that refuse to listen to eating anything over 1500 calories. So I think show them by example, is the best route.

I have a problem with having a sweet tooth after my regular meal so I either eat a few grapes, a small banana or I'll do some plain greek yogurt and add in crushed pineapples and one packet of splenda. So far all of this has worked for me.

I'm definitely not as disciplined or probably as knowledgeable as alot of others on here, but I sure am motivated right now and can always use more friends.

My male roommate started a "diet" this month and feels like eating anything over 700-1000 calories is TOO much. He usually eats once a day and it's something like a salad (with very little meat) or a wrap. I have tried telling him that he is not eating enough over and over but have given up b/c it can lead to some heated…

Jennbecca - thank you for replying. That's interesting info about the 2 day rest period. I may have to try that IF i decide to NOT stop weighing at all! Conita - Haha I use very similar if not worse words on my scale! And I think I really need to give up the scale - at least for a little while anyway. I don't want to get…

Thanks to everyone for their replies - I'm going to skip the book for now and work out with the strength training dvd's I have and check out the links provided by plumsgrl for awhile.

For those of you that have read and are doing this - what are your thoughts on this statement that I found in the reviews of the book: "Final thoughts about fat loss: This is probably not the book for someone looking to lose 50-100 or more pounds. It's for someone who is probably 30 lbs. or less from goal and who has…

Thanks to all of you - I'm going to change the calories burned to "1" like you suggest and then make the note of actual calories burned b/c I too like to know how many I'm really burning. Thanks again!

Well I'm pretty out of shape at the moment so it's hard for me. I'm currently doing workouts from a sparkpeople dvd that I had laying around....the workouts are around 10 minutes each but i try to do 2 or 3 a night. One dvd is strength/toning and the other is cardio blast. I hope to work up to the 30 day shred in a couple…

I'm anxious to see the answers to this question too. I would just be starting to lift weights and have no idea where to start.
