While the girls not wanting to be approached are obviously entitled to their opinion and outlooks, and no one likes to feel creeped out if someone is just "leering at them" (which has happened to me at the gym too), I definitely agree with this. I didn't go to the gym for the express PURPOSE of meeting someone, but if I…

This is not a lie I told myself - but something others have told me and I sometimes let myself believe and got in lazy mode - "you just have to accept that as you age you will gain weight and can't stay the same shape as you were before. It's all down hill after 40". Well I'm here to prove them wrong!

I can relate to this! It is so much easier to keep the "routine" going when the schedule is fixed on workdays and so much more difficult when weekends arrive and there is company over, errands, erratic mealtimes.... but I don't want this to completely control my life either. Being reasonable and aware is the key I think.

Steel wool on "rabbit ears"...and having to hold it in place for my dad to keep the reception clear !

Hello from St-Hubert, Quebec ! Welcome and good luck !

Thanks everyone for your input and your opinions ! I just want to clarify that I take nothing at all away from those who lose weight quickly (so there is no jealousy or criticism on my part whatsoever), I was just curious / concerned about it given the information I had up to that point regarding nutrition and weight loss.…

I do actually also agree with the post that talks about how weighing themself every day helps keep them on track. If I waited a whole week and it did happen to be creeping upwards (although I can usually feel it just based on what I have been doing - or not doing - to stick to my plan!), I think it would be even more…

This ! Although... couldn't you have the same effect weighing once a week, if you happen to weigh yourself on one of those "fluctuating up" days ?

I too have always eaten WAY too fast ! Maybe it's from being the youngest of 7 kids and having to get yours before it's all gone! Slowing down eating is also a very good habit to focus on!

I am definitely a few ++'s over 30 :-) and am looking to lose about 20 pounds. I am not overweight either, but have put on between 20-30 pounds in the last year or so and just don't feel comfortable. I have practiced karate for about 10 years and although I have kept it up, I had not really completely recovered and fully…

THAT IS JUST...SPECTACULAR. Congratulations !

I just started Rushfit a little over two weeks ago and I really do like like it, aside from those repetitive warm ups and cool downs. I also would have liked it to feel a little bit more..."upbeat"?...but I've put some music on in the background my last workout and that seemed to help and get me a little more pumped in…

For the time being, I think it is the right "FIT" for me ! (I couldn't resist!)

After having just done the first week, I have to agree with you about the warm up and cool down. It was kind of a lazy way out. I too get tired of hearing the exact thing over and over and have to stop myself from skipping past it, particular the cool down. I have problems with my back and knees too, so anything harder on…

I just did the Strength and Endurance one last night. It was a good thorough workout. Hopefully I will stick to the whole program for the full 8 weeks!

Thanks ! I will definitely let you know how it is going..

I'm between 5'3 and 5'4 and my goal is to be around 125. At my "thinnest" I was 118 when I was training for my black belt, which admittedly was a little bit too small, but now I am at 148. I would probably feel comfortable at that 125.
