  • haha, brilliant! I've had all sorts of comments from people when I tell them I do pole dancing... I've just learnt to laugh them off because unfortunately, there are too many people out there who are just too arrogant and narrow minded to actually see it for what it is and that's a freaking great work out! My boyfriend…
  • I only just cracked the cross knee release this morning after nearly 2 years of trying! Biggest amount of achievement I've felt since starting pole as it's always been the one I really wanted to learn and just could not get! So now I've been able to cross that one off my list, I've still got loads I need to crack...…
  • You'll be lucky not to have bruises after every single class! I've come to the conclusion if I don't have any bruises after a lesson, then I haven't worked hard enough! ;) I don't think I've ever met anyone who hasn't gone to pole classes and not become obsessed with it. I hope you stick with it and I'm sure you'll quickly…
  • I've been doing pole for nearly 2 years and am absolutely obsessed with it! :) Fellow polers feel free to add me! :)
  • I think I read it somewhere that it can be between 200 and up to 1,000 calories an hour depending on how intense the training is. I record mine as 200 as my classes involve a lot of standing around and watching and taking turns. I also didn't know how to put it onto my diary under strength, so just put it under cardio Glad…
  • Anything cheesy or with a good beat! Bon Jovi and the soundtrack to Flashdance tend to be my favourites when I'm practising on my pole at home! ;)
  • I'm from Surrey, but work in London so there most of the time! :) Feel free to add me!

  • 27, feel free to add me! :)
  • I haven't been properly diagnosed with it, but my doctor about 5 years ago assumed I had it because I suffered really bad cramps and running to the loo as soon as I got stressed, and so put me on some tablets that I had to take after every meal... all they did was make me feel bunged up and uncomfortable and be in even…
  • Pole dancing/fitness is the best! So much fun and a great work out! Would love to try Zumba and other dance classes, but as I have absolutely no rhythm, I probably would probably end up with many an injury!
  • I've never been able to stick to gym workouts as I'm easily distracted and don't have much motivation. If something is boring or not enjoyable to me, then it won't last long! I've been doing pole fitness now for 18 months and am pretty obsessed with it, not only because it's fun, but because I finally see the results I've…
  • I'm just below 5'7, and new here, feel free to add me!
  • haha it's true, I don't think I've come across anyone who takes classes and doesn't become obsessed with it! And it's a shame there's a lot of people on here that don't have local classes in their area! It's a great form of exercise, but it just doesn't seem to be taken as seriously as it should just yet! One day maybe...
