Never get tired of your story, and each time it is as inspirational as the first. Thank you so much Ed, for being who you are and sharing. Truly amazing.

Thanks, will be making this week, looks really good. :flowerforyou:

Did not realize men's clothing was affected by this, too. It has always puzzled me that the only place that vanity sizing is NOT done is in the wedding dress market--which seems counter-intuitive, to me.

Yes, It probably is time to have a full work up. Consider also the hormonal changes that come around at this time for us women. It has played havoc on me, too. I also concur with other posters-- that your intake has been calorically too low for too long, and you likely have some metabolic resetting to do.

Consider yourself hugged! You already know what's driving these crazy emotions, just ignore them, if you can. Focus on something that makes you feel good, like your hubby, future children, whatever makes you happy. Hoping for a speedy "purge" of all the meds. Best to you.

A new routine will make your body sore, until it adjusts to it. DOMS is a reality. Try Tylenol, bath with epsom salts, rest day, or when you lift, take BCAA's (branch chain amino acids). I use the powder form in my water bottle and it greatly helps my recovery time and soreness.

Tell me you are not serious! That's a secret fear of mine.

Yup, slow route definitely. My challenge this year has been trying to budge my weight loss/inches loss while heavy lifting and dealing with the hormonal fluctuations that happen as women age. I'm stronger than I have ever been, and seeing strength gains, but nothing else. I took a quick look at your diary, sure you've…

I hear you. On days I lift weight I have a terrible time hitting my caloric goal. On days I don't lift, it is far too easy! I tend to look at the overall vs daily--look at the week hit your calories and macros for the week.

Ok, in the meantime, try this: sit on your bed, with your feet on the floor. Lay down your upper body quickly, and turn your face in to the bed. Do it again laying the other way. What they are trying to do is teach your two balance equalizers to relearn how to balance. In my case, only one chamber was affected, so the…

Had a bout with this vertigo problem this year. Luckily, mine was viral and did resolve within 2 weeks. It sounds like you should at least be working with an ENT, or ear specialist, there are specific exercises and maneuvers that can be done to help you with the vertigo. Working out when you are extremely dizzy sucks, I…

Hi there! As everyone has stated, so NOT a fail! The first time I tried to press the bar, I actually lost my balance and fell over. For a lot of women (me included) I had to start on dumbells and build up to being able to handle the bar. It is awkward in length, I totally get where you are coming from (5' tall here). Keep…

The Venus program appears to be a good one, but primarily focused on aesthetic, vs. functional strength. They appear to have a good mix of recommended exercise for women, focused on lifting, some cardio. They have podcasts, and an integrative website. Another poster recommended californiagirl2012 as a go to resource about…

Hi, I can say what worked for me is tracking everything, not guestimating. (Not saying you are doing that), but enough cannot be said about measuring and weighing food. I was stunned when I continually did this at how much I was underestimating by eyeballing. As others have said consistency and patience are also top key…

I'm right there with ya. Spot on.

Ironically, I stopped talking about work years ago for the same reasons, which is why I turned to exercise to relieve stress from my demanding job. [/quote] I think this says it all. I would keep working out and doing my thing. It seems evident that he would rather be your only thing.

So I don't end up in a wheelchair in 10 years at 60. To be strong, and lastly, but not least, to look hot naked .

Nice List. Have to add that heavy kettle bell swings really work the core, too.
-
Yes! Great job, and a great recommendation for compound lifts. Cheers to you.

Hi, I may not have started out with as much to lose, but the great thing about TRX is it is all about your body weight that is controlled by the angle you use, meaning, YOU control how much weight you use. I've used TRX workouts for strength training as well as cardio following a hard strength training session just by…

I, too have noticed that notable lack of modesty in Korea, and have seen it translated here too.

My vote is do what your body can handle. If it's 3x5 on squats, do that. I would also recommend you look into some supplements for your joints that are dry . I have been using Hyaluronic Acid and notice definite joint improvements and especially dry eye is gone. It is a natural substance found throughout our body in…

Hi, I think I meet the parameters at just under 5' and age 49. It is slower going, particularly once menopause kicked in in January. I have been struggling to post any loss in inches or in weight since then, although my caloric intake has not significantly changed from a 1200 daily limit, nor my exercise intensity or…

Amazing transformation. You look wonderful. Thanks for the inspiration and sharing.

Yes, just what I did.

Congratulations! Great NSV!

Definitely, file him down!

Yes, I can attest to too low a calorie intake for too long being the rock in the road that stops the last 20 lbs from moving off. (For me).

Excellent post! Thanks for the reminder!

I use a brand called Unjury. It is a whey protein isolate...it was developed for the medical market, and most of it's customers find it through bariatric counseling or surgical procedures. I have recommended it to many people, it tastes good and if you are lactose intolerant will not affect you. www.unjury.com, I think…
