Does anyone have any experience with this HRM?

Don't have a lot of time to post comments but thought I would let you know that I just got back from a brisk hour walk. I was scared to run because I seem to have pulled something in my inner thigh and wanted to give it some time to heal before running again.

Could I please join your group? Puh-leeeze? A little background about me... I ran my first 5K last weekend in 26:25 after training for only 2 weeks. Now I love to run. I try to run 3-4 miles a day. I would love to run another 5K this summer/fall to see if I can improve my time. I ran 3.4 mi last night and pulled…

I am looking at HRM on ebay and was wondering if this would be a good HRM to buy. http://cgi.ebay.com/SIGMA-SPORT-COACH-FITNESS-HEART-RATE-MONITOR-NEW-IN-BOX_W0QQitemZ310071466350QQihZ021QQcategoryZ15277QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713.m153.l1262

Thanks. I checked it out on Amazon too. Doesn't look like something I want to buy. I really want to buy a HRM but I do not have a ton of $$ to spend on one. Any suggestions on what features to look for? Have you heard anything about the Nike Imara (I think that is what it is called)?

I have the chance to buy a Polar A5 heart rate monitor from a lady on craigslist. She said it needs a new battery though. Does anyone have a Polar A5 HRM? Do you like it? Where could I buy a new battery for it and how much does a new battery cost? Also how long does a battery generally last? Thanks.

My youngest 2 are 12 months and 3 weeks apart and it is soooo fun (and hard) having them so close together. I wouldn't have it any other way, though. I would definitely ask your dr but I would think that you will still be able to watch what you eat. Eating healthy is important at any stage in life-especially when you are…

at last your hard work pays off!!

I just walked for about an hour pushing a 2 and a 3 year old in a stroller. When I log my exercise, MFP says that I burn 193 calories for walking a dog at 3.0 mph, but I only burn 146 calories for pushing a stroller. How can this be? It is much harder pushing a stroller. I just wanted to get some input as to houw to better…

I ran my first 5K yesterday with a time of 26:25. I wanted finish in 22 -23 min, but I guess that is not a horrible time for only training for 2 weeks. I was so happy upon finishing--I couldn't believe that I had run 3.1 miles without stopping and at an ok pace! Sorry I am just proud of myself! Just thought I would share.…

I have been running 3+ miles a day for the past two weeks or so. I noticed that my toenail on both of my second toes are very sore and the one seems like it might be lifting up (maybe to fall off?). I read a little bit about this online and found out that this is caused by a blister that forms under the toenail and the…

I live near Green Bay, WI--not too far away

I think it is possible that you gained 5 lbs, but I do not think it is possible that one bloody mary made you gain it. It is most likely water weight and you will lose it within the next few days.

Went to the link and couldn't find your story...

I have been running for about 2 weeks now and noticed that my legs are thinner and more toned. Any type of cardio will help to burn off fat, exposing the muscle, making your legs look more toned and thinner

I recently began taking a vitamin and it makes me feel sick almost instantly. I even take it after a meal. This morning for example I took it with an apple and a glass of water and within 10 minutes, I feel like I am going to throw up. Any suggestions? I thought about taking it before bed, but I wouldn't even have enough…

Thanks--I actually checked out all of them. Thanks.

What is another website to reference when figuring out calories burned while exercising?
-
No big deal, just make sure to stay on track for the rest of the day:smile:

I always seem to go over on carbs. Is this a big deal? I'm within my limits on calories, fat, etc, but I have a hard time with carbs? any suggestions?

How did you train for your 5K? I am thinking about registering for one next month. How long and how did you train for it? This weekend I had no problem running 2.5 miles and I think I would be able to handle a 5K. I kinda want to do it just to see how I do. Any advice?

I did the following: 4.0mph for 10 min 4.5mph for 10 min 5.0mph for 10 min 4.5mph for 5 min 4.0mph for 5 min All of this was done at an incline of 4.o.

I just walked/ran on the treadmill and when I put it in MFP it said that I burned 253 calories and when I was done on the treadmill it said that I burned over 500. I know that MFP doesn't account for walking/running on an incline, but woul doing my exercise on a 4.0 incline make that much of a difference? I'm unsure what…
