I also agree that it depends on what works best for you and your body. I eat 5-6x a day and i have noticed that all my meals are generally around the same amount of calories (200-400 for meals and 150-250 for snacks). But, i like my breakfast to be the largest meal in terms of calories and usually have a protein shake…

Girl get in there!!! Seriously, first of all i believe all women should be doing some sort of strength training anyway, but who really cares about being on the guys side??!! You will be surprised to find how non-judgemental those guys are and i often prefer to weight lift with the guys than deal with the girls on the…

I have suffered from severe migraines my whole life and my neurologist had me taking magnesium, calcium and B vitamins 2x a day. It worked for me and i don't eat a huge amount of meat either.

I never counted calories prior to using MFP and i was able to lose over 26lbs. I'm 5'1'' and was 149 at my heaviest. I was able to get down to 123lbs. I just make sure i eat every 2-3 hrs throughout the day and i make healthy choices when i do eat. I try to choose foods that have the most bang for the buck in terms of…

I have found that when eating really clean for a long period of time, if i have chocolate or some sweet treat i tend to lose a couple lbs. But i'm talking once every 4-6 weeks. Some days i want to cheat and i do and go overboard and i end up feeling horrible. Some days an have just one square of chocolate and call it a…

My MFP is set to 1580 and i'm 5'1'' and a size 4. I work out a lot, so today for instance i ran, strength trained and did yoga and consumed 1987 calories. I've been able to maintain my weight for over a year now with a minor slip up over christmas, but i was back to normal in 4 weeks.

350 calories is a perfectly fine breakfast. It's the most important meal of the day and gets your metabolism working...so eat up!! Oatmeal is good for you, so just stick to the 1/2c dry oats serving size, use water and either fresh fruit or 2 tbsp of raisins/dried cranberries as others have suggested. When i eat oatmeal i…

I also think it makes a huge difference in the thickness of the shake depending on the order in which the ingredients are blended. I first blend the almond milk and pb, then add the powder and blend, then frozen banana and blend and finally the ice. It's just like a milkshake and it's great when i'm having reeses pb cup…

1c unsweetened almond milk 1/2 frozen banana 4 ice cubes 1 scoop chocolate or vanilla protein powder (depending on my mood) 1-2 Tbsp natural peanut butter I also enjoy 1c blueberries or strawberries, but banana is my absolute fav!!

Anything with chocolate and cookies/cakes

Ditto!! Teddie unsalted pb is my absolute fav. But anything with just peanuts as the ingredient is fine.

Natural peanut butter, banana and cottage cheese!!

If you aren't taking in enough calories, then you are not going to lose weight and you may end up gaining if your body goes into starvation mode. But weight fluctuates naturally on a regular basis for a variety of factors, so don't be discouraged by a lb or two.

I agree as well. I am 5'1'' and consume anywhere from 1500-1700 calories a day. I weight lift 3x times a week, cardio 3x a week, boot camp and cardio kickboxing classes 1x a week each and yoga at least 2x a week if not more (im in training to be a yoga instructor). With this level of activity, i find it necessary to eat 5x…
