  • I was so incredibly tempted to just binge eat last night, but in stead I had a cup of hot chocolate, and left it at that. Still over my daily target but it could have been so much worse. I also ate way too much during the day so last night I was left with enough calories for 1/4 dinner, which didn't help the situation…
  • I'm going for enthusiast again. I will aim to maintain the control over the fat component of my diet (RMC) , and my goal for the week is to include more snacks in my meal plan as well.
  • Thanks Sara! I'm fine with that. I got the fright of my life last night as I was jogging on the treadmill - my daughter is like a stealth expert and the one minute I was alone in the room, jogging, and the next she was right there next to me. I had to stop to make sure she's ok and then she was fine just standing there for…
  • Exercise minutes: 119 (I log according to the calories on MFP, and then it comes up with the time so the actual time on MFP and IRL will differ). So I made my goal as enthusiast. My fat consumption reduced significantly over the last 7 days, so I made that goal. (nutritional) And I completed my running programme exactly as…
  • Today was NOT a good day, again. My calories are ok but the nutritional value of what I ate is just :embarassed: And I'm flaking out of running tonight, I'm way too tired and my head isn't 'right'. I have 1 more run for the week so I'll do it tomorrow night.
  • Hey zarbabe glad to see we're both attempting the Shape Mag programme! We're at about the same in terms of progress into the programme! How about we keep each other motivated to stick to it?
  • I made my 3 year old watch the movie last week for the first time - he HAS to love it!!! You made my day - thanks!!
  • I realised there *had* to be other South Africans on MFP since I found all these Woollies food already listed ;) My name is Sandra, I'm 39 and have two children (whom I blame for my bad eating habits and weight gain....) I need to lose about 25kg and in the 3 weeks I've been using MFP I lost 3.4kg already, so I'm stoked…
  • Same here Corey - and I think this is why MFP is so incredibly useful!! Paul I wanted to say you are absolutely right with making sleep a goal. It sounds odd but a lot of my extra weight came from not sleeping with a toddler who has a terrible terrible way of keeping me awake most nights. I started reading about it and the…
  • I made it!! I actually did my scheduled run last night. The kids were being, well, toddlers, and when I eventually got them to bed I fell asleep for about 20 minutes as well, but I got up and got ready for the run. When I got to the treadmill the emergency cord was gone and I spent 15 minutes looking for it (found it in…
  • Exercise Minutes: 95 minutes :frown: Personal Goal: (yes or no & remind us what it was) Stick to the running programme - and I did! "Variety is the Spice of Life" (RMC): (yes or no & if yes, what did you do?) Took up running, which I haven't done in years Days logged in: (rounded down to the nearest 5) 5
  • I'm going for enthusiast, again. With the programme alone I should make it this week! I'm eating too much fat, so my goal is to cut back on the total fat in my diet; it's the one subsection I always seem to go over :blushing: My personal goal, again, is to stick to my running programme. I have to run at night after the…
  • Congratulations!! Sounds like you had a good one!
  • Only goal I made was something new - I started running two weeks ago and kept going this week. I logged 95 minutes of exercise so didn't make 100, but I'm happy with my progress to date. And I also didn't manage to do the strength training. Sounds like I didn't have a good week but I did though!
  • Well I made the 12 week training plan goal for the week! And I do think my mood is improving due to the exercise already. Although it might be our upcoming holiday ;-)
  • I cannot believe I actually got up at 8:3 PM to do my programmed running on the treadmill. That took pretty much ALL the self discipline I have! My week has been pretty good so far, eating & exercise-wise. Sleeping wise it's been crap since my almost 2year old decided to go back to her scheduled wake-up at 2-3AM since last…
  • Yes - great job Ellie! Showing up is half the battle won right? Yesterday (4th) was horrendous for me, and I can see I'm eating too much fat. Kids woke me up during the night again so I am beat today. I made Frittatas for breakfast trying to up my protein without adding too much fat and it was really tasty. I need to run…
  • I know it's late but I'd like to join as beginner
  • Doing ok today, still need to exercise but I hope that I'll have the energy for that tonight! My meal planning is slightly better and I'm getting the hang of the site (And I love it - have I mentioned it before  ) and I'm making progress. Debbie it's great that you managed the early morning run and congrats on the…

  • I want to just keep on logging my food and stick to my exercise plan. I really love the calorie counting on MFP - I've always wondered where I am with what I eat and now I know - thanks again Debbie! So, my goals for the month of July: 1. Lose 1kg per week using the food tracking on MFP - down a total of 5kg by the end of…
  • Not a good weekend at ALL. I did ok on Saturday but Sunday was a killer. A good friend hosted a bbq and my Mom was here for breakfast so I made flapjacks for breakfast Sunday (for her and the kids in theory, although I did give her the leftovers to take home!). And then lunch was so delicious and I had a cupcake for…
  • Thanks to Debbie for inviting me! I've posted in the introduction thread and probably just need to add I live in South Africa so in all probability I might start a few of these threads with the time difference and all. I did well last night, jogged for the first time in forever and I always find that once you actually…
  • Hi! My name is Sandra, 39 years old, 2 kids of 3 and 2 (roughly) and I need to drop off some pregnancy weight, weight I gained pre-pregnancy and weight I gained post-pregnancy. Debbie motivated me to join and I've only been here 1 day but I am really liking the food diary! I also started a 12 week running programme…
