Juicing has become my new "energy drink", I seem to get such a full boost after drinking a morning juice, the upside too is no sugar crash unlike the traditional so called "energy drinks".

I'm a dad of 3 boys, ages 10, 9, 5. The good thing about them is that they are old enough now to go on hikes, bike rides, and even runs on some occasions with me. Even if I decide to work out on my own I found that either early in the morning or later in the evening works best for me to get a run in. My children eat…

Love eggs but don't eat them anymore.

Not intentionally, but if I am hungry I eat something.

Welcome, Logging your food will be beneficial. Once you start it's like a game. Good luck and add me if you'd like.

Welcome, and with your attitude you will do fine here.

Seriously though, it helps if you get rid of the poor quality foods completely. If they are not around, you wont have an opportunity to eat them right? Also, get a glass of water and drink it, if the hunger subsides then it was probably emotional, if you are still hungry eat some quality foods like a peice of fruit or some…

Welcome, That question seems to bring a bit of controversy around here as there are many trains of thought on this. Personally, I don't eat my "work-out calories" intentionally, and some offer advice against this. Either way you should monitor what your caloric intake is and listen to your body, if you are hungry, then eat…

Don't forget that beans, nuts, and several veggies can give you sufficient amounts of protein without the fat that meats contain. It gets easier but you will always have weaknesses for favorite foods, the challenge is to control the consumption. Hang in there and you'll be very proud of yourself!

Indeed, also if you watch "Forks Over Knives" it contains some compelling evidence to go to a plant based diet.

There's alot of vegan resources out there, I too am a new vegan along with my wife and kids. Believe it or not there is protein in vegetables, also we eat tofu and some veggie crumbles to simulate ground beef. Anyway we are using the "Engine 2 Diet" cookbook because it is primarily a plant based diet. Add me and we can…

I completely understand, it's difficult for me too as I have 3 kids ages 5, 9, and 10. Usually it's easier to work out when they are asleep and on the weekends, but if you can squeeze out an 30 min - 1 hour for a walk it should help some. You can do it!
-
Good luck, and welcome!

Welcome, I'm new too and motivational support always helps!

Try to exercise a little more, and it doesn't have to be rigorous(although that would be ideal), maybe try going on a walk every day for a week and see how that works out.

I use the scanner every day, and it's much easier to log new foods that might not be in the database. Oh yeah, I like the data base look-up too!
