I eat what I want, that includes burgers and fries. I love making food, I love eating food, I love food. I don't deny myself something I want just because it isn't considered by many to be a healthy food. Day to day, I try to keep my fat at about 50% and protein and carbs wherever from there. I don't specifically track…

I've only had my FitBit for a couple of days, but I love, love, love it. I'm so much more motivated to just move, not just exercise, but move as often as I can (like, right now, I'm marching in place while typing this, rather than sitting on the couch like I would have done pre-FB) just to help me get to the suggested…

We exclusively use coconut oil and clarified butter when we fry or sauté for exactly this reason. Eta: This was supposed to be quoting lizsmith's post about olive oil's smoke point.

I pan fry and calculate with half the oil I used in the pan.

Coffee is about the only way to survive day to day with a toddler. I drink 2-4 cups per day, usually with a bit of honey and cream.

Yes. Mmm bacon.

I'm 5 foot nothin' and 26 (almost 27) years old. HW: 160, pre-pregnancy CW: 130 (125 two weeks post partum) GW: 110 I'd like to get down to 115 before we try to have our next child. I actually lost weight while pregnant with my first and that's kind of how I figured out what works for me (high fat, mid carb, mid protein,…

I always portion it out prior to putting it through the calculator. I get the servings I'm going to eat right then and put the rest in individually portioned Tupperware containers and then figure out the total servings from there. Portioning out immediately after cooking helps it cool faster so I can get it in the fridge…

I try to stay around 1500 calories and keep my fat at or over 40%. Other than that, I really just can't bring myself to care, especially since most of my food is homemade so it's not like I'm eating a bunch of super processed stuff or fast food.

I track, but only because my 11 month old daughter is 1-3% for weight and we absolutely need to make sure she's getting enough calories per day (even more so since her primary nutrition at this point is food).

I was doing paleo and I felt great while on it, but it wasn't sustainable for me. Of my top 10 favorite foods, I think like 8 of them are not paleo friendly. I still try to keep my carbs below 100, preferably around 50, and I have my fat intake set to 40% and don't care if it goes over. I still feel good, but now I don't…

I love coffee. I have at least one cup a day with a bit of honey and heavy cream. It tastes good and keeps me going, which is especially nice while chasing an 11 month old around the house all day.

I hate the smell of Subway, have since I was a kid. Gross.

I don't get it. This is saying a mile for every 100 calories consumed. I don't even do that on a normal basis. I would have to average 15 miles every day if I used that calculation. Am I just missing something here?

I have 1-2 a day and lose just fine. That said, I'm trying to eliminate it. At the very least, it's bad for teeth and I want to set a good example for my daughter.

I almost never pre-log. Eating food and then realizing how much was in it and asking myself if it was really worth it, really helped me prioritize and figure out what works for me. Forgoing the food would just leave me craving it later. For me, waiting to log is a learning experience. I hardly even need to log anymore…

Breakfast is almost always two eggs and half a banana. Occasionally I will eat some oatmeal or pancakes with strawberries and a touch of syrup. Lunch is almost always either soup or a sandwich (meat, cheese, mayo on whole wheat) with yogurt, fruit, and honey. Dinner is usually a protein (chicken, beef, or fish/shrimp),…

I can't lose weight and drink alcohol. However, when I cut the alcohol, the weight comes off with no extra effort. I know, anecdotal evidence and all, but that's what happens to me so I don't drink. I would suggest cutting it out for a few weeks and see what happens.

This, exactly. Sugar is way worse.

I use small plates all the time. It helps me a ton! Totally psychological, but it works.

Red bell peppers, runny egg whites, and pretty much any raw veggie. They've all gotta be cooked.

I just found an interval timer app for free. It makes loud beeps for when I need to switch pace and I can run it while listening to my own music too.
