  • If it is anything like IBS (sounds like it is) the best thing you can do is just keep your fluids up and forget about eating until tomorrow. I find anything I eat just makes it worse. One day under calories shouldnt be a problem. Hope you feel better soon:smile:

  • I like plain greek yoghurt with 1 tbspn almond butter and some honey or splenda if it is too sour for you without. Tasty:smile:
  • The best thing for me is the Extra dessert flavoured chewing gum. It comes in mint chocolate chip, strawberry shortcake and key lime pie (my fave). Its hard to eat cake when you are chewing gum. The best part is the flavour lasts for ages and your mouth totally thinks that you have had dessert.:smile ( 5 cals per piece)
  • hard boiled eggs saltine crackers sugar snap peas tuna salad three bean salad dill pickle (just threw that in there cos I like them):smile:

  • almond milk greek yoghurt - it has lots of protein too leafy dark green veggies canned salmon with bones:smile:
  • forever nuts from Davids - it tastes like those mini donuts you get from the concession stands and you dont need sugar or milk in it.:smile:

  • Thats why you only weigh in once a week. Your weight fluctuates from day to day and from morning to night. Put the scale away for a few days and stop obsessing .:smile:
  • When you get to maintenance you can just play around with it. Try 1700 for a couple of weeks and if you feel its too much or if you put a pound or two on, then lower it to 1600. Its trial and error with calories, what works for one may be too much or too little for others :smile:
  • the thing that got rid of mine in the end was getting an insert for my shoe. You can get them custom made for hundreds of dollars but a doctor friend of mine reccommened getting one from a sports shop that you warm up in the oven and then wear immediately so that it conforms to the shape of our foot. It was $35 and worked…
  • I like Nil desperandum best. Cos it is sooooo easy to give up and if you get down to 145 it will remind you of what you have accomplished.:smile: And I got my first tattoo at the age of 60yrs.

  • I unerstand what you mean, in those circumstances I usually default at 1 teaspoon per serving (1/3 tablespoon):smile:

  • I eat my apples with almond butter and find that helps. The thing that makes me hungrier is oatmeal - I know its not supposed to but it does. Must be a genetic thing as my daughter is the same way.:smile:

  • The after bite is the only thing that works well for me, you just have to apply it more often. Even then it wears off in the middle of the night sigh.....
