Ohhhh my. That sounds wonderful. Yes, please let me know. That is something I would love to do. We are having guests for a few days in three weeks.... They all love Pumpkin. Thanks so much.

Yum.... that sounds great. I always find that I have to start with the minimum amount of liquid because sometimes it seems like the dates are drier or more moist than other times. That's why I don't have a hard and fast rule about the liquid. I just add the liquid until it "feels" right. Let me know how the coconut water…

No matter how long you freeze them, you just can't change delicious! Texture and flavor doesn't change. They are just too addictive. Enjoy!:flowerforyou:
-
They don't freeze solid. It;s like freezing dried cranberries or apricots.. they remain somewhat soft and chewy.
-
Sticking is easy with the dates because they smoosh up great. The coffee helps to make them moist. It also helps the spatula and mixing spoon and teaspoon measure release them. It's the same idea as when you dip your spatula in water when you are frosting cupcakes or a cakes. Smooths and releases easier.

Sorry, I forgot to add in the number of bites this recipe makes. This recipe will make 41 - 1 teaspoon bites. Each bite is 28 calories. Sorry I left that out. :blushing:

Another fave: Mission Extra Thin Corn Tortillas. I use them for scooping up tuna salad, making tomato sandwiches, rolled around turkey or ham or to make pizzas. Just had 4 pizzas for dinner, with sauce, mushrooms, tomatoes, red peppers and mild pepper rings for a whopping total of 266 calories. Instead of cheese I use…

A couple of "Walmart" Gluten Free finds. Coco Pebbles. Very satisfying chocolate snack - 120 calories in 3/4 cup without milk. If you eat them with a little spoon they can last a long time. Heartland Rice Gluten Free corn and rice pasta: It comes in 3 shapes - Spaghetti, Fusilli and Rotini - 3/4 of a cup is 200 calories. I…

That's a great list. Question: Do you find most of your fave's at Whole Foods? We also have a Sprouts nearby and now they know me by name

My MFP blog has only gluten free recipes. I have been gluten free for about three years and cook simply but yummily. (Is that a word?) Also I just posted a new thread asking people to list their fave and not so fave gluten free products.. I think it is on the second page if anyone has something to add to my list. blog:…

:flowerforyou: This is the definition of cornmeal from Wikipedia, "Cornmeal is a meal (coarse flour) ground from dried maize or American corn. It is a common staple food, and is ground to fine, medium, and coarse consistencies, but not as fine as wheat flour.[1] In the United States, very finely ground cornmeal is also…

Absolutely you can use whole eggs. I would use 3 for this amount of ingredients. I would love to know how they come out.. "down under". Hello from Texas here!

@MyOwnSunshine: What a great idea. I don't have a bullet but that would be so convenient. Do you need to know the exact measurement of the Stevia or how much this recipe makes in total? Would that help you? I think putting it all into a shaker is a great idea!

I make a gluten free and dairy free pizza for lunch all the time. I change up the toppings with leftovers or if there is something I am craving. Last week I made this with cooked, leftover asparagus in the shape of spokes with little bits of goat feta cheese sprinkled between each spoke. I can have a little goat cheese…

Oops... hope everyone saw that. I used the wrong soy sauce in my calculations from the database. The sodium content in La Choy Lite is 550 per Tablespoon and I used 4 Tablespoons = 2200 for two pounds of chicken with lots and lots of sauce. Here is an updated screenshot of the calculations. The screenshots have now been…

These calculations were based on just under 2 pounds of frozen weight chicken. There was alot of chicken and we really chowed down and there was still lots left for my DH to take to work today. I just cut the calories for the whole recipe in half. There would definitely be enough for 3 or 4 people with rice and some…

I made this and it was delicious. I made a double recipe because we were two adults. DH had it with rice and I had it with roasted peppers and zucchini so these are the values WITHOUT rice or vegetables. I cut down the garlic because we can't do so much garlic. I used 2 lbs. of chicken breasts and Swanson regular chicken…

Sounds like a great idea! Thanks for the recipe. Yummy!

I loved the idea of freezing yogurt so I came up with some other creative ways to use this concept. I slice strawberries thickly and top with a dollop of yogurt before freezing. I also top dried apricots with yogurt, mix the yogurt with some dried cut up raisins, apricots, dates and nuts for some added texture and…

Sometimes when I am busy with errands, or working around the house, I am thinking, "Ok what's for lunch?" You know how a little idea pops in your mind and it gets bigger and bigger and soon, You Need A Pizza. Well at least that is how I am. Sometimes a salad or a some steamed vegetables just aren't going to do it for me.…

I posted a step-by-step recipe on my MFP blog of how to make zucchini into ribbons to use as a pasta substitute. I usually make a Primavera sauce with tons of vegetables to put over. It is filling, delicious and makes great leftovers. If you would like to see the recipe with pictures and details, the blog address is:…

Thanks to everyone for their kind comments. If you would like to check my MFP blog, I answered some questions I was sent about this recipe. It's the third recipe down. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/nortx Enjoy!:flowerforyou:

Not sure if it is in Canada... It is with the Salsa varieties. It comes in Mild, Medium and Hot. Not sure if we can post links, but it is pacefoods.com You could use any variety of salsa and just mix it with a Tablespoon of light mayo. Salsa is low in calories and the mayo makes it creamy.
-
I love Pace Picante and mix 2 Tablespoons of that with 1 Tablespoon of Helman's Light Mayo. It makes quite a bit and it's spicy and creamy at the same time - all for only 45 calories. Satisfies all requirements.
-
I'm so glad you like the recipe and tweaked it to serve your needs in the best way. That's great. Yes the salt is there to draw any bitterness and extra moisture out. It does make a difference - I tried. I found the carrots needed just a minute of steaming in the microwave to soften them up a bit. This recipe is absolutely…

I love making zucchini ribbons and topping them with a Primavera sauce, or a Clam sauce, or just Spaghetti sauce. I put a step-by-step recipe with pictures for doing this in my MFP blog. Use a metal or wooden skewer as a "handle" when you are making your ribbons - makes it so much easier. Here is a link if you are…

I would figure about 8 inches or so, and about 5 - 6 inches around. They would not sit horizontally in the produce bag from Sprouts. If you want to see a picture - not of the ones I used for the pancakes, but another recipe, go to My Fitness Pal Blog - http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/nortx and cursor down to the Zucchini…

I had some pancakes left from yesterday, so I used them today for lunch. I heated a frying pan and scrambled one container of Egg Beaters with 4 crumbled zucchini and carrot pancakes and a sprinkle of some Sriracha sauce. I filled a large corn tortilla with the egg mixture and folded it in half and put it into the hot pan.…

I hope y'all like these. I have detailed pictures on my "My Fitness Blog" here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/nortx
