  • 5am every work day. It sucked at first but I made myself do something, even 15 minutes. 12 weeks later I look forward to my time in the morning and regularly wake before my alarm. The best part is that I feel great all day long. The thought of working out and then trying to sleep seems like wasting a good buzz
  • I have a hard time losing weight if I eat too many processed carbs or sugar regardless of the calories. I try to limit breads and pastas, avoid sugar and make sure I get plenty of protein. Fat for me is pretty neutral other than calories. That being said, calories are still the central point and everything I consume is…
  • Inspiring and amazing. Bravo!!
  • The scale bounces like an evil tease. Inches are more positive. That being said, it's the scale that I check every day
  • I have a similar job. I workout in the early AM because its the only time I control everyday. It sucks a lot in the beginning but after about two weeks, it does get easier and after 11 weeks, I actually look forward to getting up early. I don't know if I'd have any success without the consistency. Also, keep work…
  • Creepy is as creepy does. I used to have bouts of obsessing about unrequited affection and while I am 99% sweet, it becomes a dark place in your mind. I stopped because it even creeped my out.
  • I brush my teeth. Puts cravings down most times
  • I have had an elliptical for years and still think it is the best inside cardio machine. That being said, it is a machine and you have to be very careful about making sure it is ergonomically set up for you. I have one that is adjustable and I can vary the stride length and resistance during my workout. With my weight too…
  • I am trying very deligently to eat in a sustainable manner. This is a diet only in the aspect that I am cutting a measured number of calories from my daily intake to help cut weight. My only rule is that I log everything that goes into my body, but my goal is to eat sensibly with the mindset to develop healthy habits which…
  • Logging on each day is the most important part for me.
  • My use of C25K is just as an interval training device and not intended to get me ready for road work. I "run" by about doubling my "walking" speed on the elipitcal. Doing 3k on the eliptical at a "walking" speed isn't much different than walking 3k... I really enjoy the quick results I get through interval training and the…
  • I'm doing it. I use the program for interval training while on the elliptical. I did it on my own a couples years ago with great results. The intervals keep me focused and entertained. I'm only in week one but it has already fun and energizing. I have no interest in actually running on the road for several reasons. Good…
  • Sweet and blonde. What's not to enjoy?
  • I don't even like I've in my water. Pure clean Luke warm. YUMMY
  • Taking it from the back is the best way. Keeps the roll looking clean. From the front is just sloppy
  • If I keep my sugar (simply sugars) low at lunch and drink enough water, I am able to avoid most of the 3:30 crash. I have been paying attention to how my afternoon goes versus my lunch choices and I found some pretty consistent impact. First thing I cut out was Chinese food for lunch which guarantees a bad afternoon.
  • I found that diet sodas and artificially sweetened drinks make me feel weird and not all are quite as bad. Diet colas are the best for me while diet root-beer and diet iced teas are the worst. At the worst, they consistently trigger binge consumption and I can easily drink a two-liter bottle of diet soda in less than an…

  • Thank you !!!
  • As a small comment, 2 lbs per week for me has to be kept in perspective of my current weight at 277

  • My wife eats a 2lb salad 6 days a week. She has been super successful at keeping herself lean and the big salad is a key piece
  • Got to count it...part of the reward for exercising and being able to drink and keep my calories below my target it a strong motivator. Besides my body counts it of I put it in my mouth. The good, bad and ugly all become part of me whether I "count" or not.
  • Nice response. I agree entirely. At the end for me, I just feel better when I stopped drinking soda. I found early on that some effected me worse than others. Diet cola was the less offensive with diet ice teas the worst. I found the worst really increased my cravings; or rather increased my ability and tolerance to binge…
  • Water. I must be one of the few but room temperature water is my favorite.
  • Welcome. I'm just starting myself. Wish you best and healthiest outcome

  • You can add me. I'm always up for extra friends
  • Thanks for the well-wishes
  • Thanks for the welcome
  • It shows where you stand for the day whichs makes picking a meal something different. I think I often feel like I've blown a day and then stop trying until tomorrow. Immediately I see a difference in my relationship to my food choices. Today I logged exercise and it's so interesting to see how it raises my nutrition…
