As long as it's not watched to the exclusion of intimacy with me, why on earth would I care? And on the same token, as long as it's not to the exclusion of intimacy with him, why should he care? Like anything else you can obsess and over-do it, but it can also be fun, it can be a good way to destress, it can add spice or…

I agree with Vim above - also, keep in mind that how you feel now may not necessarily be reflective of how you'll feel at 20 weeks. This is the one time it really is okay to bail if you get closer and realize you're not up to it by then. Fitness will ebb and flow throughout pregnancy.

I haven't had the morning sickness this time (knock on wood) at 10 weeks, but last pregnancy I was hyperemetic with severe food aversions. My diet became very limited and I still didn't keep a lot down, and lost a significant amount of weight. My midwife and the OBs I saw in consult all told me the same - eat what I could.…

Bloating is very normal in the first trimester, and very frustrating and uncomfortable too :( I would wake up looking not pregnant and go to bed with a belly. It's normal and it will pass, just in time to really be showing :)

I have no helpful commentary but wow, that takes some audacity to do it to your boss and then blow her off.

I am so glad someone posted this, I was just about to say this. As a former HR person this was my very first thought - if you change jobs you do not have job security. I know your current work situation isn't a great one but unless you have other options for medical insurance I wouldn't be changing jobs, especially in this…

If they ever fix registration! My husband and I were both looking at it. I can't any more but he spent the day trying to register. Sad fail! :(

I did my first 10K as a cat...even had a jingle bell collar! It was a repeat loop (5k each loop) and as I crossed for my 5K split, the RD even yelled out, "Keep running, Jingle Bells!" I didn't run with the tail because I knew it would annoy the heck out of me, but the collar and ears and rest of the costume was fine.

A medically necessary csection is one thing, but opting for one for convenience is kind of dangerous imo...a csection, while relatively straightforward for major abdominal surgery, is still major abdominal surgery. In addition to having a newborn, you get to recover from major surgery that cuts though your midsection. I've…

Crunchy mama here, babywearing and clothdiapering, attended by a midwife first birth but ended up transferring for an emergency c with #1. Hoping to have my natural vbac this go round :)

Short answer: No, it won't net you no weight loss! Your deficit will create the weight loss in itself - exercising on top of a dietary deficit creates a /bigger/ deficit, and in some cases, if it gets too big, your body stops being able to cope because you are not eating enough to fuel your activity. Example: To lose no…

es-cah-pay? that's spelled like escape...wonder what it means!

Hello! My name is Heather and I am due 10/6 with baby #2. My daughter was born 1/31/09 and we were told we could not conceive without IVF after failing several rounds of fertility treatment trying for baby #2 - 3 years later I tested after a dream I was pregnant and lo and behold, I was! I was running 20-25 miles a week…

Wow, that was a lot of responses quickly! Forgive me for not responding to everyone, I figured this wouldn't generate quite so many responses for some reason. I do know I need proper running shoes. I've already been fitted for running shoes and know I need a size 7 neutral shoe. My adistar rides were great, but are worn…

I'm only 6 weeks, but I know I'm going to end up feeling the same way you do. For me this pregnancy - though much desired - was a huge unexpected surprise and it came as I just hit the 40lb lost mark. I am finally feeling confident and happy with my body, more than in years, and have worked so hard to get here only to now…

I used the Hal Higdon plan for my first half last month. For my next half I am doing it differently, and will add weeks between the 10 mile long run and the half itself - I plan to do 10, 11, 12, 13.1, then taper for two weeks before my next race.

I'm still running. Wish I had my gym membership, I'd love to cross train on the elliptical, but at least I can stay active!

Oof, running a long run after running the day before was really rough; I had been hoping to do a 10 miler but we barely scraped 8. Ow. And it was SLOW. But I did it! .54 mile warm up, 8 mile run, 1/2 mile cooldown, lots of ow 2/1 - 6/80 2/2 - 15.04/80

My husband and I both run and he wanted to go for a run with me. I felt exactly the same you do - I'm self conscious and I so did not want him there, but it actually turned out to be a lot of fun :)

Pace depends on your comfort level and the length of the run. For me, I'm a slowpoke - if I'm only running a 5K, my fastest pace has been an 11:21 mile. For my half marathon it was a 12:38 pace. When I run for an hour it's usually 12-12:30. That's where I'm comfortable and I started with a 14 pace. So, where is YOUR…

First run of the month for me - 1/2 mile warm up, 5 mile run, 1/2 mile cool down! Got a long run this weekend with my husband I'm looking forward to :) 2/1 - 6/80

I think Applebee's is totally in the wrong, and the customer is a jerk. If you can't afford to tip you can't afford to eat out, period!

Meant original post, not original poster. Sorry :) When I said he, I meant the groom, not the op as in original poster.
