Yup yup... been stuck on my same middle digit since October. Totally want to get to the 2 0 somethings!

Slim in 6 and the stationary bike (in combination with overall calorie reduction) have made my calves, thighs, hips, and shoulders smaller. It took about 4 weeks before I noticed the difference, but there definitely is a difference. Would something else have worked? Probably, but that worked for me. Good luck!

I had good results eating back about half of the calories I burned. I have plenty of excess calories hanging about, and am making sure to stay hydrated. Also, I was making sure to do lots of protein & veggies, plus some vitamin C. I fell off the wagon a bit for the holidays, but I am trying to get back to it. Burning 800…

* Just making sure I get up and do a lap around the building periodically helps. * At the copier I'll do leg lifts (hamstring, lift foot to butt while leaning forwared) or "up and over" (left arm up & over right side of head, switch arms, back & forth). * Alternating knee ups or leg lifts while lifting arms over head. *…

One day at a time... Concentrate just on logging for a while--see what patterns emerge. Then try cutting back the calories to get under the goal and/or adding a walk or a bike ride. Every day, try to come in under your goal. If you have 100 lbs to lose, maybe try to earn 800 extra calories in exercise but only eat back 400…

I agree with PLAN. I did much better when I was putting together a week's worth of salads every Sunday (used Chinese food soup containers, then poured into bowl at work/school). For dinner I'd have protein & veggies. Split your workouts--20-40 minutes before school/work and 20-40 minutes after dinner. The hardest part is…

I don't know how much to credit to what, but my calves/thighs are smaller after: Slim in 6 (Beach Body)--lots of squats in there, stationary bike for 20-40 minutes at only a level 2-3 resistance, and running/jogging/walking, "water jogging"--same arm/leg motions as elliptical, but neck high in water. As for weight work,…

Awesome! So proud of you!

I got mine for Christmas, so I don't have a huge body of experience, but so far I'm liking it. Two frustrations so far: I want to run to the computer and instantly see the 5 flights of steps I just did. It takes a few minutes to load up, it seems. Even so, it sometimes only shows 3 flights to the 5 that I did. Guess that…

I am on Triamterine, 1/2 tab a day, and when I forget to take it, especially for 2 days in a row, my weight will jump up 2-5 pounds. By remembering to take it, drinking cranberry juice, and drinking lots of water (plus watching sodium), it takes 2-3 days of 1-2 pounds a day to get back to where I was before I forgot to…

So far have swapped wedding band to middle finger, but that's about it.

Fabulous! So proud of you!

The first 235# I lost (him) was much easier than the 50 that I've lost since him. I gained 75 when we were together, so I'm almost back to pre-wedding weight. (Started MFP at about 15-20 lost from highest point.) Good luck, and be gentle with yourself. <3

NSV for this week: noticing that my belly doesn't bump the steering wheel any more. I can fit my hand in between them. :)

I am the wife of a "Crohnie"--I will help anyone however I can.

I actually did switch to dresses for work this summer just before MFP. I was very round, and no belt could keep my pants up. I was sick of walking around tugging at my pants all day, so I went to dresses. The dresses made me feel more professional and dressed up, plus, tugging at my pants made me feel slovenly. Now those…

Yeah, the half dozen or so times I've had a child at school pat my belly and ask if there was a baby in there were confidence deflating, to say the least. Once it was on a day that the scale hit a new low and I was feeling super good about myself. But then there are other days when kids see old pictures of me and say I…

Look at my profile pic. See how much space 5# of fat takes up compared to 5# of muscle? This is why your pants are getting smaller while the scale stays the same. Keep eating, keep hydrated, and keep logging. Once your system has finished "recalculating" for this round, you will see the scale go down, too. I lost tons of…

Sounds like a plan!

Oh, and PS about getting new ones on your way down... I've been hitting Goodwill to get a piece here and a piece there. I don't want to invest in a full wardrobe at any size yet, and spending $8.00 for a pair of jeans I will (hopefully) only be wearing a couple of months sure beats spending $80.

I have one or two "reference" pieces, just as I kept one or two "reference" and sentimental pieces on the way up. A bunch of what I have "shrunk out of" I have given to friends, including one of my fitness pals who is a size behind me in her journey--just as my aunt who shrunk out of her clothes (some of them with the tags…

That's wonderful!

Stair-master--old school! When I used to travel for my job I'd do "laps" across one floor, up/down the stairs, across the next floor, etc. For a more intense workout, try running up the stairs. The other thing you can do is calisthenics. Before you leave, make a list of which exercises at how many reps. Use water bottles…

Lots of meat and veggies. Some potatoes & stuffing. Lots of water/black tea. Some dessert. Active play with nieces instead of just sitting around. Avoid the car as much as possible. For example, to get from my mom's house to where we're having brunch is about a mile walk up a big hill--I'll walk it instead of riding. To…

Try splitting it into segments and finding things you can do without leaving home. For me, I do Slim in 6 for 20-40 minutes before work (depending on if I get up in time, don't get distracted posting on here, etc) and after dinner I do 20-40 minutes of either riding the stationary bike at my apartment complex or…

Living in Arizona, there is almost no such thing as too much water if you're drinking small-ish amounts all throughout the day. In the summer I'll drink a gallon easily. I have heard that if you divide your body weight (in pounds) in half, that's how many ounces of water you should drink a day. When I was 256#, that would…

Getting a pedicure complete with the spa chair, leg massage, etc. Mani-Pedi if possible :) I had my first hour long massage last month--that could be in the running for the next benchmark, too. Someone else said this, too, but my favorite reward is results. I've been stuck in the same 5 pound band for over a month now, up…

Way to go!

If you feel like you need professional help for your emotional eating, you probably do--good for you for getting to that point of self-realization. As for your binge, it happens. Every time I step on the scale and it's gone up one it puts me off for my whole day--even when I know it's just water and will be gone in a day…
