Except for indigestion possibly interrupting your sleep, depending on what you eat, I see nothing wrong with eating at night. Meal timing has had no impact on weight loss for me. I have PB&J on a toasted english muffin almost every night...making one right now as a matter of fact.

Artichoke omelets; chopped artichoke hearts, steamed broccoli, egg and cheese omelet with a side of ham almost every morning...yum!!!

Good for you for not listening! You look fantastic! :flowerforyou:

I use both; I wear my Fitbit One all day to monitor my overall activity and use my HRM to track/record calorie burns from cardio (Zumba, running, etc). Fitbit does not measure your heart rate, only movement. If your exercise is primarily walking, low-impact, or strength training, I would venture that a Fitbit would be…

That is awesome! You should be very proud of yourself. Keep up the great work. :flowerforyou:

Don't know if I can come up with 5, but I'll try... Yogurt Beer Lobster Skiing Horses ..on second thought, I could probably think of a million things.

Olde Cape Cod Toasted Sesame Soy & Ginger dressing...my new favorite dipping sauce for grilled or plain chicken.

I love this recipe for Cuban Pork & Rice; I don't add the shrimp but I do add extra veggies because I love them. This makes a large batch that freezes well (I wouldn't eat any food that's been in the fridge for 4+ days). I portion it into single serving containers and put it in the freezer. Pop one in the fridge the night…

This sounds interesting and awesome...can you post the recipe, pretty please?

I had pork loin the other night with baked sweet potatoes and steamed green beans...yum!

^This! I also doubt you'll find a doctor or nutritionist that will deem it medically necessary for you to eat meat, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't eat whatever you want to eat. They can make recommendations (based on whatever sensationalist news article they are recently read), but that doesn't mean you have to do…

Another vote for nerdfitness.com! I started with the beginner body weight circuit and have modified it over time based on my needs and added some weights as it became too easy, but for the most part it's the only workout I do and I love it.

I don't agree with your trainer. Your body needs fuel. You should be adding your exercise (accurately) and eating back those calories. MFP gave you a calorie goal with a deficit already built in, based on the activity level you indicated. If you are exercising above and beyond that activity level, you should log that and…

I made pork chops with applesauce, baked sweet potato, and broccoli with butter sauce... and a light-mini cheesecake for dessert, all for 511 calories.

Hi Mel! I can relate to wanting some encouragement to keep you going. I started on my own, without much support at home, but I've made so many great MFP friends that more than make up for it. Sending a friend request your way.

I like my arms for the first time in my life. I had a similar 'whoa' moment when I saw some pictures from the summer. All of those bent-rows paid off! My next goal is to start liking my butt; it was awesome when I was younger and before I started gaining weight... now, not so much. Did months of squats with no results so I…

First, congrats on quitting smoking and setting a good goal. I think any plan is better than no plan and if you can make a habit of your routine, your body will tell you when to change it. I started with the beginner routine on nerdfitness.com, which looks very similar to your plan except you repeat the process 3 times for…

Having looked at the last few days of your diary, it seems like you're barely hitting 1200 calories and with your fitbit adjustments it's making it look as if you're over your goal. Something doesn't seem right with your fitbit settings, IMO. I would suggest you make sure your fitbit settings match your MFP settings for…

17 days of hard work is not going to keep you at 125 lbs for the rest of your life. Why put so much unnecessary physical and emotional pressure on yourself?

I started lifting in February 2013 and I think I look less 'bulky' now than I did then. I workout at home so I try to be conservative and avoid injury. Slow progress is better than no progress and I'm very happy with my results. [/URL]

I check the USDA website first: http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/search/list. If I don't find what I'm looking for there, then I use chezjuan's method of averaging from several similar entries. Just have to keep an eye on those portion sizes.

Zucchini has to be my number 1 'never liked' foods, but now i love it...crave it even... eat it several times a week. I was also famous in my family/friends circle for not liking cooked peas but I will eat them now if they are in something, instead of picking them out. I've also developed a liking for fresh-cracked black…

Love my food scale; also got mine for under $20 and use it for every meal I prepare at home. It's also compact enough to go with me when travelling to weigh portions, snacks, etc. Definitely worth the investment.

Santa brought me just about everything I asked for, including the heavy-bag I really, really wanted, and pink boxing gloves. Edited to fix typo
