Thanks, Sabine. I did search and joined.

Yes, I do know that. I guess I could have expressed my frustration with my metabolic changes in Hashimotos and menopause more accurately. ;-)

I have been on Armour Thyroid meds after giving up on Synthroid about 2 years ago. I have way more energy and thryoid numbers are better for me, BUT I still battle moving the weight in spite of working out and counting calories. I am most motivated to do KETOGENIC diet after watching my older sister lose weight at a…

WOW!!! amazing transformation :-)

Oh I sure feel for you! Been there, done that!!! I had haunting lower back pain, often with sciatica, sometimes related to workout days and yoga, that finally reared it's ugly head into full herniated disc L5/S1 last year. After three weeks of the worst pain, I knew I needed to figure out a routine for stretching that…

Amazing. I can't think of another word for you beyond Amazing! yay for the ketosis statement too :)

I am smaller boned 5' 8.5" and I hope to be 140lbs. I was 135 lbs for most of my 20's and 30's. It was not skinny. You will figure it out!

Whether pumping or at the breast, you're utilizing calories to make milk. Worry on tight diet for mom is decreased milk supply for baby. I would count the 500 calories. Go on La Leche League site for more info.

I heard the Orange Theory was *intense* circuit. How is it???

Read "Stepmonster" by psychologist Wednesday Martin. Best book I read and I read a lot of them, searching for the answers. It isn't you. Enough said :-)

I'm also allergic to tree nuts, peanut and soy. Soy is the most complicated for me and more of a pain in the butt than even peanut. Peanut is clear on labels, soy has a lot of different names. Feel free to add me and chat whenever you like... Caro

I stopped counting anything but a single calorie for my 60 minutes of cross fit...or anything exercise. I feel better recording it, but it gets recorded as a single calorie. Scales don't have to be expensive to weigh food and boy that was a surprise for me on what portion I thought I was eating out of a package. I have…

Can't copy and paste from Dr Kruse's site nor can I copy the link to here unfortunately. But search "Dr Jack Kruse and Aspartame" and read his blog with references. Clear enough I quit my Diet Coke habit same day.

So well said!!! This diet leaves me full and not hungry. I'm at a plateau but I'm losing inches and I'm not craving! I can do this!
-
I am with you on the stuck on a plateau. I've been Paleo for about six months and got back on here to help motivate me. I am working out hard with Cross Fit not intense cardio, trying to stick with new approach to weight loss and health. Read Dr Jack Kruse's blog about Paleo. Glad to add to motivate each other :)

Absolutely agree. Go read what brain surgeon Dr Jack Kruse says that aspartame does in the brain and how it messes with your metabolism.

Phoenix Rescue Mission in Phoenix, AZ It does so much for so many.

I feel really good. I have lots of energy. I am sleeping well. I work out with a trainer and a group four times a week. As long as I stay feeling good and not hungry, I am going with it. But thank you! I will go read your link. Caro

Perfect response...."Why do you ask?" Love it!!!

Or don't eat them back if you're not feeling really hungry...there's lots of discussion on that plan of attack too.

Really pay attention to labels. ie, if you have yogourt, add your own fruit and rationed amount of honey, don't do their 25grams of sugar in even the low fat yogourts, or having lean beef buys you way more satisfaction in curbing the hunger than cottage cheese. I choose tons of vegetables to help fill me up, ie. big salad…

His driving was really bad.

I am sticking as close to the 1200 mark as I can. I don't eat the extra calories I've burned off either. It is difficult! I realize all the things I've really liked, like coffee with cream and flavors added, and wine, have a lot of hidden, sneaky calories! Darn! I won't do aspartame and I have Hashimotos. I think I've…
-
I gave up on the bananas. Darn they have a lot of calories with their sugar! I found blueberries and raspberries much kinder :-) Caro

Texting from my iPhone please excuse any typos. I switched to Armor in spite of doctor and nurse practitioner having fits over it and felt miraculously better in about three weeks. I did not lose any weight yet. Lol I listened on radio to an md saying T3 is what we are missing if we are dragging on synthroid.

Loved the sharing! You go girl!!!

I'm also hypothyroid with Hashimotos. I was only diagnosed 2 years ago, but now very clear that for at least 20 years I have had same problem. I have only had any weight challenges for last 5 or 6 years, so perhaps that's why it was missed. Up until then I could eat whatever I wanted, work out as I enjoyed and didn't have…
