*perfectly* well said! :-) Come hang with us.

You have a choice for fuel -- carbs (glucose) or ketones (fat).

It is a slow slow process. Probably the best thing I did was accept that it was! I have things happening with my metabolism that just isn't with others, and vice versa. Good luck calculating and estimating for us ;-) One day at a time, I figure. I laugh when the estimate pops up of what we might weigh in 5 weeks based on…

try "Coconut Creme from Chocola Tree Organics" from Sedona, AZ. I read the label about 5 times, certain something that tasted so good, must have sugar, or a drug ;) Nope, just raw stone ground coconut. Fat bomb in a jar

I will be using Grapeseed for dry skin instead. Thanks, Dragonwolf.

OH MI LORD seriously??? I cannot believe this. We didn't want to have smoking cooking so we bought "coconut oil for high heat" and then someone recommended grape seed which we bought (from Portugal - non gmo and organic) for ridiculous expense at the health food grocery store.
-
I chose Grapeseed for frying.

So ... can we talk "pork belly"? It looks like a barrel of chips. What does it taste like?

Inspiring!

not enough to eat them back ;-)

yah I thought any pink in early days (month) was good -- and later on, as long as you're on similar track, means you're just no longer throwing ketones

Zoom 2, you said: >>>>I generally assume about half (at least) of the carbs in yogurt are eliminated. Especially with REAL, whole milk Greek yogurts (ie yogurts where carby whey is drained-off...NOT "greek" yogurts that are simply thickened versions of regular yogurt. Chobani and Greek Gods are legit). Yesterday I was…

I was reading something regarding new investment ideas yesterday, and keto anything is supposed to be hot. :-)

curious as to how you determine 50g? Not 25g? or 30g? how do you know what's best for you? I test keto using strips.

Perfectly summarized ^^^^^^^^ :-)

daily supplements of potassium, sodium and magnesium - I wouldn't wait for the cramps.

In my two coffees a day, I use either Stevia or Splenda flavors, BUT I am totally with you on the sweet cravings. It keeps you in a mindset that sugar is very much a sweet treat to desire. I should be desiring a steak instead :) Caro

Some people have joint pain from increase in dairy on this diet. No link, but in all the reading I've been doing about keto, I've seen this discussion quite a few times.

I had been reading about fiber...I am definitely *way* lower fiber count on this diet, than ever in my life, but maybe it was the soluble carbohydrates (flour, wheat, processed grains) that really would be capable of binding me up in my previous diet-life, and I'm not eating any of that now. So far my stomach is great :)…

I eat small amounts of blueberries, raspberries or strawberries. I am aiming for 20g net. I started using keto strips for urine testing multiple times a day, 2 days ago, and have measured that I am moderate ketosis all day, and I'm still barely/not at all losing weight on the scales. I do understand part of it my workouts.…

So curious when we are looking at a total day and staying keto...could you throw it out in one big meal of food still on the keto list, but all eaten at once? I'm buying some keto strips but contemplating if it is impacted daily or in a big meal? (especially when I want to add a few oz of red wine back in to my day in…

Changing settings: My Home/Goals/Change Goals/Custom/Override/ change the settings there to closest for you -- for me it is 5% carbs (knowing that the number isn't exact but close enough) 25% protein, 70% fat Caro

Sugar Free Salted Caramel Torani syrup (*)

I would want to get to the cause of being anemic...supplements are like painting over and over water damage, you know? Two big causes? irritable bowel syndrome and stomach ulcers
-
I couldn't get past the flavor or odour of Ghee. I stick to frying with Grapeseed oil.
-
I agree! amazing!

Thank you so much for posting!!! Love the before and after photos! Looking good!! You go girl!!! :-)

You were really light for dinner on Sunday and Monday with only Tuna. Maybe that is adding to it?
