Nice job, Jess! 4 pounds is awesome!
-
tjradd-Thanks! I hope you have a good WI on Wednesday! .2 is a good start. :)
-
For today's WI I have no change. 208.2. BUT it's TOM, so that is actually a good thing...normally I go up 2-3 pounds! So next week should be a decent loss I hope. :) Hope everyone else did well this week!

Eww...sounds like you have some gross co-workers. I HATE chewing tobacco...it grosses me out. I also agree with hypocrites and know-it-alls. I just had an episode with a know-it-all that made me so mad. And to add to your list: People not using their turn signals People who never watch where they are walking and expect the…

another vote for the salmon if you are wanting the healthiest choice! :)

Jillian Michael's DVD's. I have tried the 30 Day Shred and that is awesome and has three different levels so you can change it up. Each workout is about 27 mins total, but it's a GREAT workout. All you need are weights and a mat if you have hard floors. I have heard the others she has are good also and many are also about…

great job on the weight loss since your vaca, Tara! Sorry you are stuck in a rut with the weight-loss lately. You never know...maybe the break was just what your body needed and it will be ready to start dropping that weight again! :) Keeping my fingers crossed for you that it will be THAT easy! I wish I had some advice to…

Thanks girls! Tara-I know it sucks to see that number go up, but as we both know, a lot of it is just water weight so it should come off pretty fast like you said. 4 pounds already is great! that's how I was too the first day I started tracking again after my surgery. hopefully by WI tomorrow, the damage won't be as bad.…

Weighed in at 208.2 today which gives me a 1.8 pound loss this week. Going strong, but school starts tomorrow, so I'm hoping the stress won't get to me too much! Gotta get a good routine down.

Polar FT4 is great!!
-
Thanks! It was mostly or all water weight because I hadn't been logging for a while, but still makes me happy to see that number go down!
-
So glad I'm not a big pop drinker, but I do have it on rare occasions...now I will NOT. uhhh...dissolves a freaking t-bone....that's CRAZY!!!!

Weighed in today and am down to 210.0! Have gotten at least 10 cups of water everyday and have been under on calories. Sodium has been higher than normal due to eating more processed foods because they are easier and don't keep me up on my knee as long. Plan to cook homemade meals next week, though, so that won't be a…

I totally understand why you are frustrated, but I honestly think you are wasting your time with the letter unless you just use it as an outlet to vent and don't send it. The letter will do nothing for him. The only ones who can make a difference in this situation are the enablers (your dad and uncle). Your best bet is to…

Uprising-Muse I LOVE this song while working out...especially running. Makes me feel like I can conquer it! :)

I'm 27 and have been in college way too long! lol. I have had 4 majors and just changed back to one of the previous ones and finally have 2 years left!!! I'm a Navy wife and mother of 2 also and still need to lose about 56 pounds. I just had knee surgery so haven't been logging food and exercise for a few weeks, but I'm…
-
Hope that even though you didn't get much response we can still do this together. I am starting my logging today and have weighed and measured. I am 55.6 lbs away from my goal weight, so we need to lose pretty much the same amount! :) Let's do this girl!! CW: 215.6 GW: 160 Height: 5'8" Waist: 37.25 Hips: 46.75 Right Thigh:…

Hey girlie, I would LOVE to do this with you! The only hitch is that I might not be able to start for a week or two more. If that's okay with you, than I am in! I will have to focus on diet only for a little bit until I am cleared for exercise, though, but trust me I will be exercise as soon as I am allowed!! :D Let me…

wow! some of those exercises look HARD! I'm sure if you actually use it consistently, it would be a good workout. :)
-
wow! congrats on being awesome and having such an awesome little girl!

raw almonds will give you 160 calories and 0 sodium. :) Orville Redenbacher's - Smart Pop! 94% Fat Free Butter - 100 Calorie Mini Bag has only 140 mg sodium.

I will be starting level 2 tomorrow, eek!! I've done level one with 5lb weights for a few days, though, so if it is too hard I can always go down to the lower weights for a few days. :)
-
Thanks and good luck to you tomorrow! I can do the leg stuff fine (except for being careful with my knee), but my arms are so weak! I was dying by that last set of anterior raises with the 5 lbers! I was literally grunting out loud at the end trying to get through it, but I am already seeing some new definition in my arms,…
-
I second this!
-
Did the WHOLE thing with 5 lb. weights today! My arms are feeling it, but so proud of myself! :D
-
I really didn't feel like doing the shred tonight, but made myself and glad I did. I upped my weights for circuits 2 and 3 (except for second set of anterior raises with side lunges). Man what a difference a few pounds make!!! People are scaring me about level 2! lol. hopefully a few days of yoga will have prepared me for…

I'm a little behind, but I'll still make it. :) Glad to know that it is normal to have some weight gain the first couple weeks. I have gone up too, but I have also been eating like crap, so probably have some gain from both. Starting to notice a little muscle definition in a few places, though, so that's great!
-
I think maybe yours and mine are hanging out together because you just describes how I'm doing. I WANT to do it right so bad, but I just DON'T...so frustrating and especially since it's all in my control, but somehow not at the same time...ugh.

Yeah, actually the breathing was the hardest part for me. I missed the beginning when he was talking about breathing for one thing, but it was hard to keep my breathing even. I have always had more shallow breathing, though...I think this will be good for me. :) I was surprised to see that I was more flexible than some of…
