First off, I think you're a runner if you run :). On topic: I've been a runner for 4 months now and have wondered this myself. Personally, I think it's fine to acknowledge another runner/biker/walker. I do try to make eye contact 1st and smile and wait for a response. If I don't get one I'm fine with it and wish them well.

My current favorite is: sliced stawberries, blueberries, slivered almonds, chicken chunks over baby spinach (or romaine) with Wishbone's veryberry vinegrette dressing. Yummy.

Burn even more if you excer-drive like I do. I have an hour and a half commute, each way and alternately squeeze my glutes and do crunches (very small concentrated movements) all in rhythm to music. I have been doing this now for a few years and sometimes forget when I'm doing it. I have definitely noticed better tone.
