Yes! Agreed!

I wish you good luck! Relax and do the best you can. You might feel like you are failing some days, but don't let it stop you the next day.

hmm, great idea. I'll have to try it when winter squash comes into season here! Thanks! ETA: also, don't forget that you can roast squash seeds, all of them, not just pumpkin. I prefer squash seeds actually. There aren't as many as in a pumpkin, but yum, they are tasty!

Thanks! I've requested a copy from my local library!

You can change the levels of any nutrient in your diary, and it's not written in stone that you need to stay within those levels everyday anyway. Not everyone is the same. You need to find out what suits YOU best. I agree with the overthinking comment. Relax and go with the flow. If you try to pigeonhole it too much, then…

That's why I just use oil. I can measure it and I know exactly how much fat and calories it will be.
-
Perhaps you got the numbers mixed up. 30 lbs in 90 days sounds more in line with the weightloss advertising.
-
The "estimate" for exercise won't affect your calories. It's only there so you have a goal to reach each day / week. The only time calories change from exercise is when you ACTUALLY log in the exercise. Your calories will change if you adjust your activity level, say from sedentary to lightly active. But at this point,…

I don't think it's healthy to just eat one type of food, ie veg and fruit. I think a balance is needed. grains, beans, a little bit of meat, fish, eggs, dairy are all needed for a balanced diet. Plus, psychologically it could be very difficult and cravings for foods your body is missing can cause problems.

you can set it up to email you when someone posts a comment on your wall, but yes, it would be nice to have notifications when someone posts to a discussion that you've commented on (someone else's wall) It does take a lot of server resources to email all members though, and it could bog down the site. that could be why…

Nuts, grains, olive oil, coconut oil.
-
exactly, it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change. Once you get that straight, you'll have a much easier time.
-
this is a joke, right? Maybe you should start eating something then?
-
Eat more. You can search the forum for why can't I lose weight and find plenty of other threads on this subject.

I will always be a compulsive eater. But I've learned to live with it. I don't keep "bad" foods in the house, but I do allow myself a treat day at least once a week or so. I try to eat healthy whole foods, so I don't feel the occasional sugary fatty treat does me any harm. It's all balance. Good luck! I think you should be…

why not just buy a bottle of balsamic and make your own dressing. It's pretty basic. vinegar, oil, maybe some minced garlic or onions, salt/pepper. there are many recipes online. same with pasta tomato sauce. Make your own, then you control the ingredients. You can make pasta sauce in just a few minutes, or if you have…

good for you! sounds like you are doing it the right healthy way now. which is a great example for your children!

I've added fruit to quinoa salad, like blueberries and/or peaches. strawberries work too.

5'8.5" and I'm 137-140 lbs. I wear a size 8 jeans, and medium top. I'm back to the size I wore back in my 20's.

Took a peek at your diary, and your fat intake isn't abnormally low, same with your fiber, although you might want to up it a little What I did notice was you consume a lot of artificial sweeteners, which looks like can cause bowel issues. I'm wondering if that is the true problem.
-
sounds like you are hiding from the truth. The best thing you could do for yourself is log EVERYTHING and not run away from your food issues. and 2 pounds per week is a lot. it's much healthier to lose slowly! 1/2 pound or 1 pound is a good goal. If your calories are set too low (ie at 2 lbs per week) then your body will…

Yummy looking salad! and I HATE to sound negative, but you might want to look at the sodium levels. For that ONE salad, you are almost at 3400mg. all that processed meat with salad dressing can kill ya. Just a suggestion. Maybe try homemade grilled chicken or even fresh grilled salmon. Good luck, you are doing a great job!

too much water? No, water doesn't make you gain weight or bloat.
-
You need to dig deep and figure out why you keep sabotaging yourself. Are you eating too little calories, and then because you're still hungry, you binge? Are you depriving yourself of "treat" days? Are you eating too much processed food which in turn triggers your desire to eat more crap? Find out what the problem is, and…

I was going to say that too. maybe you need to eat more calories. No one here can give exact advice about food unless they can see your diary. It's up to you if you want to share, but it does help. Maybe we'll see something that you won't.

Log in page doesn't look much different, or maybe I don't notice. My browser always logs me in automatically. I very rarely ever see the main page unlogged.
