Yeah, I could do the same thing. I love the taste of salty butter. yum. But yeah, I agree, start adding more olive oil, olives, coconut oil, avocados, nuts, peanut buttter etc.

I am so glad you didn't give up! Now keep those same feelings in mind throughout your whole journey. You can do it! Don't ever give up!

I eat fruit. An apple, orange, mango, whatever I have in the house. I don't drive myself crazy with carbs, protein, fat, I just eat healthy and I eat when I am hungry.

Okay, I am going to go against the grain here. I think your friend might be onto something. I took a peek at your past posts, and about a month ago, you posted about just eating anything within your calorie range to lose weight. It appears that you aren't getting enough fruit & vegetables and your skin is looking poor.…

If you use the search option here, you will find about a million other threads discussing the same thing. Good luck!

I have been watching the show faithfully every Friday night, but last night (with the university and the whole 1000 people deal) I was a little disappointed. The show focused too much on what was going on in the town instead of getting the word out on how to cook! I don't know if it's stupid Ryan Seacrest's producing, or…

I use a tablespoon of real maple syrup. It's only 50 calories. Hate all that processed fake stuff.

Yes, I have noticed these posts as well, but I also have noticed them on other forums besides MFP. I think people are just looking for the easy way out, not understanding that quick weight loss is temporary, and that it needs to be done the healthy way. I guess the more popular MFP gets, the more often we'll see posts like…

I think your body will get used to whatever exercise you are doing, and you really need to switch it up and do different things to keep your body guessing. Any machine can be effective as long as you keep cross training. You also need weight training.

I love the fresh baked bread from Whole Foods. They also carry local bakery breads as well. I am finding that I don't enjoy the processed bread companies as much as fresher bakery breads. I have also been trying to learn to bake my own bread too. You can control the ingredients so much better that way. It's a learning…

Cooking Light is great. If you have a local library nearby, check out a bunch of books and if you like them, buy them. They also have a lot of magazines. I love reading that way!!!!

I take a few things. I think too much, but some of them are very important. I like thinking that I get all of the necessary nutrition from food, but you know that's not possible. anyway, multi-vitamin fish oil capsule flaxseed oil capsule calcium magnesium (very important for bones) vit E Vit C Vit D I think eventually I…

Reading some of these comments stating how addictive it is and how you can't give it up... Well that should tell you something. Healthy real food doesn't physically addict you. Something to think about.

That is soo cool!

We regularly get Chinese food. But instead of he bad dishes we order steamed chicken (or shrimp) with veggies. They always put the sauce on the side. One local place even offers brown rice! Love that! Soups are not too bad either. Love hot & sour soup.

Wow, it sounds like you could be a great role model for your friends and family, too bad they don't see it! I think you are doing great!

DD, you need to change your brand. I use Nordic Naturals, and no icky burps. My husband HATES fish, and was hesitant to take the capsules, but no complaints from him either. there are a lot of other good brands out there.

sounds good, but fish oil? why not just swallow the capsule whole along with the smoothie. I would definitely try this, sans the oil! LOL

Great answers from everyone, but I just wanted to say that your recipe does sound yummy! I might try that!

FYI, all fiber is not created equal, especially if you are taking it for heart health. When it's found naturally in foods, it's good, but when it's in stuff like yogurt, and foods that normally do not contain fiber, it's not the same. Just something to keep in mind.

My husband was having trouble losing, his calories were too low, and I kept telling him that he needed more, and to add a snack in between lunch and dinner. Once he did that, he is starting to lose now.

Did you buy it with your credit card? Most will double the warranty up to a year extra....that might help instead of actually purchasing one. I very rarely purchase extended warranties, except for my Mac computers.

Yes! I love almond milk too. I add some protein powder for a breakfast drink! I love unsweetened vanilla or chocolate flavors. yum! I need to find an organic brand soon though.

I like the Fit for some of the strength and yoga. and I enjoy the bike game...but for aerobic exercise, it's really not wonderful. I can see myself outgrowing it. Perhaps you can find one used at gamestop.

I just started using whey protein, but I use Jarrow brand - vanilla. I mix it with some vanilla or chocolate unsweetened almond milk and it's pretty good. But even after shaking it up, it still has globs in it. I don't know if this is normal for all whey powders, or what....but it does taste good, and the reason I really…

cholesterol that occurs naturally in food, isn't the same as cholesterol made in your body from trans and saturated fats. Your body needs cholesterol!!!! I see no problem with eating eggs a few times a week. I try to eat 1.5 to 2 eggs about 3 times per week. If you think there might be a problem, then use a couple of egg…

Check out your local library to borrow fitness DVDs. I found a bunch. Also if you are a comcast subscriber, onDemand has some fitness videos, including a Jillian one.

I agree with SHBoss. I used to eat Lean Cuisine and Healthy Choice and Kashi about 3-5 times per week for lunches. It's good when you are beginning, but once I started to progress to a more clean eating lifestyle, I stopped. Besides being processed, they are loaded with sodium! I still have a couple of Healthy Choice in my…

Fantastic! Thank you for sharing! You must be so proud of yourself!!

are you posting your weight on My Home>Check in? If so, it should have no impact on your calories. if you are clicking on "goals" and changing your weight there, then the calories are going to be adjusted. I don't adjust my goals unless I am ready to lower my calories. Not a bad thing, you should adjust regularly, but when…
