  • Lately, I've been doing every day, (I'm somewhat addicted to it!), but normally, I do it on Thursdays or Fridays. Don't forget to measure yourself, too, because some weeks when I haven't lost on the scale, I'll have lost inches.
  • thanks for sharing this! i will consider making this one for sure!
  • I guess curious wasn't the right word.. I asked my husband to get this for me for Christmas. I have never been lean or toned in my life, and want to be so badly!! The only real question I have, I guess, is do you need equipment for it?
  • thanks ladies- i better not be, or my husband is a dead man! lol. i am just going to chock it up to my change in activity and weight loss.
  • WOW!! Amazing! Thanks for the inspiration, as I have been so curious about doing P90X myself!
  • Amen! I give myself one cheat meal every couple of weeks. If I didn't do this, I would probably go nutty! So I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner, pumpkin pie, whip cream and all!! Sorry you won't be with your family this year. That stinks! Hope you have a great Thanksgiving, all the same!
  • Thanks! Right now I do MOSTLY cardio, and a little strength training. I really want to keep up with my intense cardio, but I need to do some strength training to become how I want to look. How long is a typical p90x workout?
  • Okay, people! I did it! Well, not quite, but at least one day of it. A friend of mine sent me a recipe for a juice fast he did. It tasted really good, and I did GREAT yesterday, and drank about 12 cups of water. I lost 1.4 lb when weighing myself this morning. However, I was feeling not so hot today.... I know the 2nd or…
  • thanks for this!!
  • GREAT, GREAT JOB!!! You look like a whole new person! You are awesome!
  • girlfriend, i can relate!! before "it" strikes, i crave any and all chocolates. i'd have to agree, clear everything out of your house that is tempting to you. i understand that you can't always be so strong when you are out of your protected little environment, but when faced with those temptations, i would stick to the "3…
  • i agree with everyone above, but if you do all you can do to get rid of it, then i would look into getting "lypossage" done. Its a form of massage that breaks up cellulite- done on the arms, stomach, and legs. it is intense, and painful, but WORKS. lypossage specialists are hard to find, but they are out there. good luck!
  • I've gone vegan before to help with some health problems I was having at the time, and BOY, what a difference!!! I wish you all the best on this. I love your attitude about this- you can do it! Exercise and nutrition are important factors, but what we sometimes don't realize is that support is another big factor! Stick to…
  • thanks for this!! it sounds amazing, and i will be sure to make these for christmas eve!!
  • thanks so much for posting this!! now i can look like a pro! :)
  • hmmm... i don't know, maybe we are on different machines?? mine was slightly similar to an elliptical, only moved so much faster and smoother. it was manual, so i just grabbed the side bars and lifted my weight up on occasion to get some upper body workout, and while doing that i just slowed my "pedaling". i don't know if…
  • oh yea- and i totally did NOT know that about the whole sleep thing! here i am, depriving myself of sleep because i am a night owl... i will start going to bed early and see if that makes a difference. thanks!
  • oh man.. i tried the Arc trainer for the first time tonight! I was thinking i should mix up my cardio, and my feet were flying. i'm pretty sure i looked like an idiot! i didn't know which of the bars to hold on to to get the best postion. yikes... i did it for 25 minutes though and it SAYS i burned like, 240 calories,…
  • I STINK at pushups!! i've recently started doing them and realized i am totally lacking in upper body strength, which apparently is typical for us ladies :/. anyways, since i've started i've noticed i'm gaining muscle definition in my shoulders. i can only do them in sets of 12, not sure how many. i will count next time.…
  • well, i was originally planning on doing like a 2-3 day detox to get a little head start. then i did some research and saw people that did it for like, a MONTH! crazy! (i would not do this) i found a whole bunch of recipes with things other than fruit or veggies juiced in, such as wheat germ, flax seed oil, protein powder,…
  • Thanks, bohochick-- And to everyone else, not a "juice" juice fast.. sheesh! I avoid fruit juices at all costs because of the sugar. We're talking, pure juiced fruits, veggies, and other good, wholesome stuff. More like a detox.
  • I totally have to agree with you. I typically allow myself to splurge a little on what a designate as my free day for the week, but only on 1 thing. I think we all need to do this, or would be ravenous for those things we crave. You deserve it!
  • an apple with light laughing cow cheese on it- the combo of the two tastes almost like a caramel apple. that, or my main go to sweets are sugar free jello w/coolwhip free, or sugar free chocolate pudding- that one does the trick on the really tough days.
  • Good luck! This site is AMAZING for support! We are all here for each other, which I love because I don't get any support from the people around me everyday. Welcome!!
  • My new favorite is "Sleepwalker" by Adam Lambert. It totally helps me visualize where I want to be and keeps me going!
  • i LOVE the stuff! i add either chunks of pinapple, or i add strawberries, sliced banana( 1/2 of banana), 1/2 cup cottage cheese, and 1/2 cup plain nonfat yogurt and mix it up. quite good !
  • aside from weighing, you should also take your measurements. weight fluctuates from day to day due to muscle and.. err.. bathroom issues, so if you see minimal loss on the scale, it doesn't always ring true. hop on and good luck! i always try and trick the scale by weighing in the morning, after i've gone to the bathroom,…
  • Hi- I just copy and pasted the link into a new window. Your pictures were AMAZING! You GO GIRL!!! You are definitely an inspiration and should be proud of yourself. I would say you've earned bragging rights! :)
  • Hi- I did the South Beach diet recently-- A few years ago when I did it, I lost a good amount of weight, but have since learned how to eat properly. So, the second time around I did it (this past month), I didn't lose as much weight during the first phase, because its mainly to lose water weight and change your eating…
  • I can totally relate- my husband is no support either. He is skinny as a rail, and I call him a "garbage belly", because he can eat any and all kinds of junk food without showing it. I sincerely asked him for his help one day, and he has been more understanding how I can't have that stuff around, so he hides it from me. If…
