You also have to measure! Measure everything, don't guess. I take out my measuring cup for everything. I weigh things. I never guess. And the weight just fell off when I started realizing what a cup really was. I was underestimating what I was eating before I began measuring and weighing everything.

What I often do when I hurt myself is just walk and listen to my body. I ask myself, am I hurt or injured? If I am hurt and its just soreness I press on. If I am injured I rest. At the very least walking is still good to keep you on track.

I did some math - 1000 cals divded by 148 lbs equals 6.8 cals per lb per class. So just multiply 6.8 with your weight and that should give you the number you are looking for in theory.
