i've been working at eating clean for a few months now and it's a challenge for sure - especially when our schedules are so full and we're pressed for time - but it's well worth the effort. what keeps me motivated is that it isn't necessarily "all or nothing" - you can reap great benefits from making small changes and…

I would love to be added...

A cheesecake group??!! I'm home...lol

I was disappointed to learn that the message boards aren't available on phone or ipad but what I DO like about the iPad app is that it shows you the %breakdown of your macronutrients!

I'm from Sudbury, although living in New Brunswick for the last 25+ years. Just spent 2 weeks vacation in Southern Ontario - Ottawa, Stratford, Niagara Falls, and then a cottage on Georgian Bay! Always looking for supportive friends on MFP - it really does make a difference!

So true!! I've never seen that depiction before...lol ( well, it's actually not funny, it's quite sad, but you know what i mean...)

i've been hearing about overnight oats for awhile now but I've never tried them. This convinced me! Thanks!

your diary isn't accessible, so it's hard to make any recommendations.

or use a carrot peeler to make thin strips

that's a great idea to show progress early on. those first 12 lbs make a huge difference in how we feel, but it doesn't show the way 40lbs does so a picture in the same outfit is a great motivator!! Congratulations too!

Thank you for this - very inspiring... I too am 5'10", so it's nice to see what 175lbs looks like. Did you pay attention to your macronutrients and aim for a certain percentage of protein, carbs and fat?

incredible!! And as others have said, so inspirational for those of us who look at the numbers and sometimes think our "goal weight" will always remain just that, a constant goal, never to be actually reached...And i LOVE your "rules" - I may post those somewhere in my world where i can read them every day...!!

Congratulations! You look amazing! The change in your face is remarkable! And you just look so much happier!!

Thank you!! I had never heard of thug kitchen before this post! While I'm not necessarily a fan of profanity, i must say I LOVE this website/blog!! The recipes look fantastic and I will admit that his use of profanity made me chuckle...I'm an instant fan!

Great thread with some great references! thanks! I just discovered a quick little clean snack that works for getting your protein in when you don't have a lot of time or energy to pull out a recipe. Costco has tiliapia fillets that are individually packaged and frozen. They thaw in about 10 minutes in a bowl of cold water…

LIke everyone else, I'm inspired by your sharing...the change on your "outside" is remarkable, and it sounds like the change on your "inside" is even greater! Well done...!

I too have had great success in the past with WW but always seemed to gain the weight back. This time (and hopefully my last time) I'm choosing to focus on eating clean and increasing my protein intake as well as staying within a certain amount of daily calories. MFP is perfect for this! I can't believe all the food items…
