  • Cottage cheese with chopped up sundried tomatoes yum. Love it on a jacket potato with baked beans
  • I think if I was ever to contemplate surgery it would be my lower stomach ( c sections have not been kind) and get an uplift for my boobs. It would be nice to have them further north than the south they are heading lol
  • I'm not sure that dieting has made my boobs smaller, however the years and two babies later they definitely look flatter, but still good in a bra.
  • It's hard isn't it , at least you recognise the signs though. Pretty much we are all here because we love food too much, now you need to be in control. Only you can give yourself the willpower , we will be here for support. I'm assuming you have set up mfp to create a cal goal , don't go for too aggressive a deficit. Make…
  • I used to feel a lot like this, start well at the beginning of the week then give in an indulgence and feel it's all over so keep eating more and give up. This is my 3rd time on mfp and has taken this long for it to click about moderation. I used to throw myself into a diet with this all or nothing attitude which wasn't…
  • Pancakes in our house are thin crepe like affairs. Sugar and lemon or a smear of raspberry jam are acceptable. Kids and husband have theirs with Nutella and a banana chopped up. We also eat them savoury with wafer thin smoked ham and grated cheddar cheese yum
  • I had GD in my last pregnancy. I wasn't using mfp to monitor my cals then. I just cut back on carbs like bread and potatoes and rice , so not for every meal for instance and upped the veg. I found more protein and fats made me feel satiated better and being heavily pregnant I couldn't eat as much, but I did look at it as a…
  • Sweet potatoes baked Roasted veggies- zucchini, aubergine tomatoes onions and garlic Roast root veggies with rosemary On pizza In tomato sauces ( carrot celery zucchini) Sautéed spinach with garlic Beans ( fine green) and cauliflower in curries Cauliflower and broccoli cheese( like mc n cheese with or without the pasta)…
  • Good Lord , just had to look this up Wtf? I tell you how you will lose weight on this diet - it makes your brain squeak trying to work out all the woo rules that you just give up on eating. Just eat at defict and move more , it's that simple .
  • How annoying it cut off my post Anyway basically I just gave up on it and just went to eating healthier and eventually found mfp. I would look at what you are eating now make small changes following a moderate deficit and get in some exercise ( walking is great) and look forward to your wedding. I'm pretty positive your…
  • Hi I'm from the uk, even at my biggest I was not offered meds by the gp. I have tried Alli in the past, my well intentioned mother thought it might help. I didn't find that it made a difference, but because I didn't want to experience the ( horrific) side effects I was eating lower fat and TMI - poos were greasy.
  • Maybe you don't need to lose the pounds, have you considered lifting? This may give you the look you want if you are already at a healthy weight
  • Punching babies lol. Everyone knows in my house when mummy is hungry. I rarely eat with my husband in the evenings now as he comes home too late, we do try on weekends though to do a family roast together.
  • It's pretty easy really, you weigh , you count, you log. You can then play with your macros and still enjoy all the foods you like but just not the portions. Calories are on all food packaging , so no working out really and best of all no deeming foods bad.
  • I think you are confusing what fit bit says you burn in 24hrs which includes living with it as exercise. Sync the Fitbit to mfp and let it do the math , also enable negative settings in your diary ( on the mfp.com site) and it will takeaway those cals when you are not very active. It's up to you to decide if you want to…
  • Ha when I first read the title I thought , cooking in a plane cockpit ??!? Lol Check out Pinterest loads of soup recipes in there My favourites are minestrone , and a gnocchi chowder yum When the weather is rubbish our go to is 'magic soup' , named by my daughter and is the Greek soup Avgolemoni , done on the hob Chicken…
  • All cheese is good . And serve different purposes, iykwim I would start with mild choices like cheddar , mozzarella , Edam and work up to more mature versions. Blue cheese like Stilton are very strong , but you may find you like a dolcelatte which is creamier. Definitely find a cheese shop where you can try a few kinds.…
  • I used to eat Vogel (could get it in tesco ) bread when I was going lower carb ( also lower in cals) can't remember the figures but it was pretty tasty with seeds in it. I always have wraps you can get different flavours these days and they are great. My mum loves those sandwich thins for 100cals but, I find them too…
  • Looking forward to hearing the results , love me a marathon ( still old school here lol) hope you aren't too sick of them at the end of the week
  • I had GD in my last pregnancy. I was on metaformin, 1000mg I think and just made some changes to my diet, watched the carbs in bread , pasta and potatoes but upped my other veg count and my protein count. I wasn't counting calories but I did drop some weight so after birth I was lighter than when I fell pregnant. However…
  • Healthy food and 'real food' don't have to be mutually exclusive. Find your calorie goal with not too aggressive a defict so it is attainable in the long term and weigh and log. Get to grips in the kitchen with making some of your fav meals lower in calorie , but if at times you have the original version it doesn't matter…
  • I live with my kids and husband, who don't need to change the way they eat. It wouldn't be fair to them if I threw out the chocolate or biscuits so I just have to rely on self control. I don't deprive myself either as that would make me obsess. I just recognise what treats I can have work them into my day and the rest…
  • I eat what I log , not log what I eat. I usually have the same breakfast ( some coffee only) And similar lunch ( wrap with salad protein of some sort and dairy) but I tend to log this just before lunch then adjust values as I measure out , no two tomatoes are the same lol Dinner is planned when I decide what I'm making and…
  • Another +1 for a food scale. It is really eye opening when you measure on a scale especially in grams. It doesn't have to be expensive and you will get your money's worth by using it with the kids to make them recipies. Sounds like you really have your hands full with family and studying right now but it is totally…
  • I wasn't bikini ready last year and still wore one. 30lbs down this year and looking better but prob not bikini ready yet , will that stop me , no way bring on summer
  • Counting, logging and weighing have become second nature to me. I don't hate it , don't adore it its just something I do. I am getting closer to goal and to me every cal matters. I weigh salad stuff so I can have more of the other things I love. I also, even though I've been doing it for a while now, am rubbish at…
  • I was around a bmi of 33 when I started on mfp back in Nov , I'm now around 26 and aiming for around 22/23. Don't let the taunts get to you, make it give you the push to do something about it in a healthy way. Log in your stats and start losing weight by following your deficit , it really is tha easy
  • I make cakes for a Living from home , big cakes, cupcakes, little sugar biscuits , macarons, fudge the list goes on. Everyone asks me how do you not want to eat it all, because working with it all day long doesn't have that effect on me. I got fat from generally overeating, not the cakes. I don't smell the sugar or…
  • Always look out for the end of day offers for meat, veggies try frozen or canned - less waste. Pastas, rice , legumes as your bulk staples. Value ranges in supermarkets , use those coupons or if you get money back vouchers / points off shopping. Planning ahead is key, work out menus and what things you like. For instance…
  • Don't give up, think where you will be this time next year if you do, if your extremely lucky you will stay the same but but more likely even heavier. It's awful to be strapped for cash but, losing weight doesn't need to be expensive. It shouldn't be - were consuming less
