  • Not hit maintenance yet , hopefully this year 🤞 personally I try to avoid foods I know will trigger me into binging on - I have a terrible sweet tooth especially chocs so I get my choc fix from a protein bar if I fancy it and it’s always logged for the end of the day. Well done to you and your achievement
  • All I can add in is chew lots - cut smaller bites and chew each bite thoroughly. Don’t eat distracted , like on a phone or watching tv.
  • Congratulations on getting to the 120’s and well done on persevering and not giving up
  • When I log I lose. I’ve been on mfp since 2012 and I haven’t logged for the last 2-3 years and guess what the weight crept back on so gradually but now I’m at my heaviest and having to start over again. ( my profile pic is when I was light last time)This time it’s got to stay off , I’m 40 now and I do not want the health…
  • I eat 1200 and have two eggs daily. I don't eat until later in the day so breakfast is usually about 1-2pm, but I don't like eating early. I boil or fry with ghee Add extra egg whites mushrooms and spinach and Parmesan. Or omelette with some smokedvsausage. Sometimes just on toast. I scramble mine with a bit of cold water…
  • Just saw you don't have a food scale Definately invest. It's the best tool to lose weight.
  • If you were truly eating as little as 1100 (btw 1200 is minimum for women,to get proper amounts of nutrition) you should be losing weight. Have you been measuring and weighing everything you eat with a scale? If not start doing that and definately look at the amount you are consuming 1100 is a tiny amount and as someone…
  • Hi I would just start tracking to maintain your current weight for a week, get used to logging - the more you log the easier it will be especially if you frequently eat the same things. Read the stickies if you haven't at the top, loads of useful information to help you there When you do start tracking a deficit make sure…
  • Ok so you have a year to get to the figure you would like , that probably seems like really far away and a lot to lose. First thing I would do is break your weight loss down to smaller more attainable mini goals which will work towards your ultimate goal. I know the pain of wanting to eat ALL the the chocolate, but…
  • That's 19.6 pounds more than if you hadn't done anything. The above is soooo true. Keep pushing on and see what you can achieve x
  • I think my first month I lost 8lbs total. I started at a lot heavier than you 168lbs and I'm 5ft. Don't rush, it may well take months. I've been on here for over 6months and kept off 40lbs. Now I'm on the last 15lb stretch too and sometimes my weight won't move for a couple of weeks, or in losing 1/4-1/2lb a week tops.…
  • Hi @aniqa109 I'm around 4'11"/5ft I've been on mfp this time round since Nov 2015 and have lost almost 3stone. I eat currently 1220 cals a day. I was eating back the cals Fitbit added to my diary but now I'm not eating them. I was and I started to plateau so I've stopped and the scale began moving again. They are there as…
  • It's really hard sometimes, and don't beat yourself up if it happens. I now eat much slower, take time to have some drink with my meal and really assess if I'm actually hungry or just want to munch. Pre logging works as does not getting up for seconds. Mostly though it's willpower, and only you can do this. Take one meal…
  • 5 ft 126lbs (never thought I'd say that ever woohoo!) size 10/12 uk bottoms 10uk top
  • Hi I had previous pregnancies one with eclampsia and both hypertension that did not go away after pregnancy. Once I got serious, and now have now lost 40lbs (just hovering on the healthy/overweight borderline on bmi ) have I reduced this condition. I hope to continue to keep my bp down without meds. It is achievable ,…
  • It's a lifestyle change in that in taking control and awareness of my eating. I have added in moving more to eating less and I think I can manage this quite comfortably. I have made these changes fit my day to day life but, apart from being slimmer there isn't that much change in my life ( still a cake maker - surrounded…
  • @sfgirl38 awww, about first dates, don't bother losing weight for losers. A real man would date you for you and not your dress size. I lost weight for health reasons and for vanity. I liked the heavier me I just love the new me now , plus I already had a great wardrobe waiting to be worn. I wanted to feel sexy again and…
  • Left off my worst one Freshly baked bread straight out the oven with lashings of butter melting all over. Mmmmm
  • Cheese.... Melted cheese toasties Chocolate, milk choc and White choc is too easy to eat , which then makes me crave salty crisps
  • To be honest - I don't. When I finally get to chill out on the sofa I do want chocolate or crisps. Recognising this I always add in a treat for my evening snack and it gives me something to look forward to. My advice weigh it , log it and mindful eating x
  • I'm the only one dieting in my house, every week my parents usually come to stay for a couple of days to help me out with childcare so we all eat the same things. I will eat the same evening meal just in my measured portions. I also help with the prep , which means I get to weigh everything and use the recipe builder…
  • It sounds like you are eating at maintenance that is why you aren't losing weight. Re plug in your stats and follow the calories set and when logging, weigh and choose correct entries. You know what to do you have done well already just keep at it Good luck
  • Only you can motivate yourself. You will have relapses, days off, cheat days , times when life gets in the way- whatever you want to call it. If this is to be for life not just a quick fix diet it has to be sustainable. Eat foods that are big on nutrition and big on taste. Eat what you like in appropriate portions. Don't…
  • Firstly well done on your loss so far, you have done really well. You are only 9lb from goal so weight loss slows down at this point . You should be aiming for 0.5lb a week but that doesn't mean it will steadily come off. At this point you need to be tighter with your logging - every bite counts. I haven't reached goal yet…
  • For me weighing and logging has just become another thing that I do daily , like putting on my makeup- I just can't imagine not doing it. I've been at it this time nearly 200 days and there have been plenty times I haven't logged accurately - Christmas, parties, bbqs, out for the day with family so I just quick add and…
  • I guess it depends on how low carb you want to go. When I did low carb I awhile back I started off by limiting the servings of carbs in bread, white potatoes, rice and pasta. Make any carbs you eat count , ie lots of non starchy veg , some veg like corn is higher in sugar and fruits like grapes , bananas etc are higher…
  • I have been on the mfp carousel a few times now but, logging just clicked this time. I think because I was really serious about doing it properly ( no fads ,no cutting out food groups , just portion control) I enjoy logging I don't find it a chore . I think it gets easier the more you do it as there are more saved foods,…
  • My fave a Greek salad Cucumber, tomato ( baby or regular ) red onion , lower fat feta , olive oil drizzled on top some mint and olives .
  • Congratulations on your pregnancy. My first child I was overweight and gave into every craving ( fish finger sandwiches morning noon and night) I can't remember what gained as I had to have her very early and continued to put on weight due to depression. My second child I actually lost weight ending up 10 kg lighter after…
