I don't like Drs either. I got shouted at one once when I said I didn't think my anti-depressants were working. I really feel for your situation - it's really hard when you just need a bit of support and they give you a lecture. It's not like you don't know what you are facing after all! I think you can lose weight even…

It's harassment. You should report him, if only because you don't, when he gets the message with you he will go and do it to someone else. In the meantime, I would politely say that you have come here to work out, it's your time and you don't really want to talk to anyone. And tell him that you think his behaviour is…

My best friend is an alcoholic and hast lost 2 jobs because of it. Her fiance is a functioning alcoholic and hasn't stopped drinking and getting drunk in front of her since she started rehap. Alanon has helped her a lot. I didn't keep her at arms length because her parents are hateful and she only had me really, but what I…

I am really, really bad at yoga. Took up Bikram yoga about 2 months ago. I keep falling off my mat, I have to sit out a lot of the poses because of the heat and I really can't stand on one leg. But it's my favourite thing. It's a real challenge against yourself, and I always come out of class feeling renewed and relaxed…

Rice milk (goes down better for me in the mornings than dairy) with a few strawberries or other berries blended together. Is yummy!

I'm on day 10 of quitting. So far it's been fine, but that's because I've been on holiday. Back at work now and craving like mad. I think dieting does make it harder because quitting makes you hungry. Keep going!

That's good advice, thanks, I'll try that :)

Thanks. I'm not on a big calorie deficit at all. It should be enough to lose 1lb a week, even taking into account the crazy exercising. I guess I'll just keep on going - it's early days yet!

Last year my mother wrote me a letter. It contained such gems as "I can't stand to look at photos of you next to your thin friends" and "I can't believe your partner hasn't left you yet, he can't possibly find you attractive." Then she said she loved me. After my OH found me sobbing on the living room floor, he tore up the…

added you too. I'm always getting some sort of injury. it blows!

I have it too. I still run a bit, but mainly I do a lot of walking which doesn't seem as bad. I find yoga helps a bit, and swimming doesn't seem to hurt it. when it's really bad, I freeze a bottle of water, wrap it in a teatowel and role my foot along it lots of times. That really helps. It's a long slow recovery process…

Londoner too :)

not an expert, but if it doesn't hurt, and your injury wasn't caused by your odd feet, then I would leave well alone. Everyone is built differently. Having the right shoes, and not doing too much too soon is really important. Good luck!

What she said. 30s are a really good time - stuff doesn't seem to matter as much.

My mum wrote me a letter last year tell me that she couldn't stand to look at photos of me next to my friends because I'm so fat. feel free to add me! :flowerforyou:
