  • looking for new friends for challenges! https://www.fitbit.com/user/2R4F2G
  • Comments I liked: "Whoa ... what have you been doing? Fighting people? You look fierce girl!" - From my step-dad "We were talking about this the other day, and you are hands down the healthiest person who works here. I wish I could do what you do." - from my cute little gymnast girlfriends at work Comments I haven't liked:…
  • I just realized I missed last week. Things have been B-A-N-A-N-A-S for me around here. Here goes! 1/3 - 197 1/12 - 198 1/18 - 194.7 BOOM! :D 1/25 - 194 2/1 - 192.6
  • First off, you have made an amazing and positive change in your life, CONGRATS! I've seen this kind of thing happen a lot, both to myself and to other people I know who have lost weight. My feeling is that people tend to mentally put the other people in their lives into certain categories, and then they define themselves…
  • I LOVE coconut oil! I use it for cooking, as body moisturizer, eye-makeup remover, to soften my feet, in my hair ... I could go on forever. It smells so nice and subtly sweet, not like that gross artificial coconut smell you get off of suntan lotion (which is sort of what I was expecting for some reason). I feel that…
  • OMIGOODNESS I am beyond sick of it! lol. Dragging my *kitten* out of my warm, comfy bed to trudge to the gym when the posted wind chill is -45 has been my biggest challenge this week. I can't wait to feel warm again.
  • I recently purchased a bunch of grass-fed and finished angus beef, lamb and berkshire pork from a local farmer and I am loving it. The meat all tastes really great to me. I grew up eating locally sourced meat, my aunt&uncle and mom&dad would go in on a half cow together every year or so (I'm from the Canadian prairies so…
  • From Winnipeg here! brrrrrrrrr
  • I wear my heart rate monitor during every workout, and I take the calorie at face value. I know it isn't going to be 100% accurate, but it's definitely better than taking the number off the cardio machines (even with my age, gender, height and weight entered some of the elipticals and treadmills I've used have calculated up…
  • My gym has one of those big tractor tires in it that all of the super fit dudes flip over and over again, and I watch them from the stair climber, all squinty-eyed thinking "I wanna flip that muthatrucka SO HARD". Working my way there, slowly but surely. Also, I have crappy knees and have just recently started jogging a…
  • @loolabell15 what a cute, coy little smile you have
  • That's awesome! I just started doing little 1 minute jogs myself, I can't wait to be able to actually run. So happy for you!
  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE my heart rate monitor. I have the Polar FT7, a "ladies" model in black and gold. It's not bulky at all, the chest strap fits under the elastic band of my sports bra so I don't even feel it at the gym, and the watch is really comfortable. I got mine from amazon for around $80.
  • 1/3 - 197 1/12 - 198 1/18 - 194.7 BOOM! :D
  • I work evenings, so I tend to make and pack my lunch, dinner and snacks for my next shift the night before once I get home from work. I don't tend to deviate from those pre-planned meals, so I usually log my whole days worth of food after I finish breakfast because I know what I'll be eating. The only thing that might…
  • I need to listen to reall y energetic music while I'm working out, so I tend to listen to lots and lots of house and club music with some top 40 mixed with aggresive, clubby hip hop. Dada Life, David Guetta, Dr Dre, Justice, Snoop, Kesha etc etc. Not the kind of stuff I listen to outside of the gym, I need to feel like…
  • My dates will be different because I only let my trainer weigh me, I can't look at the scale otherwise because I get too obsessed with it. 1/3 - 197 1/12 - 198 I was pissed at first, I worked so hard this week. BUT it turns out I lost 1/4 inch on my arms and calves and 1/2 inch on my belly (so 1 inch overall), as well as…
  • If I eat out I either consider it my free meal for the week, or I stick to the meal that I know I can almost always make work for me, which is a small to medium sized steak dinner. Almost every place (that I go to, at least) has a steak dinner that comes with seasonal vegetables and rice/potato/fries, so I just ask for…
  • for the last few months I've been having: 1/2 cup greek yogurt (0% or up to 2%) and 1 cup frozen thawed blueberries 2 tbsp Chia seed cereal (Holy Crap or Qu'ia brand) or 1 serving (1/3 cup dry) oatmeal and 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk 1 whole egg (boiled, poached or fried) or 1/4 cup 2% or less cottage cheese 1 tbsp…
  • Planning is the number one thing that has helped me this far. If I take the time to pack my lunch and dinner for work the night before, then I have no excuse to end up going to the McDonalds or Drive-In burger joint across the street form my work. A lot of the time I enter my calories for the day the night before because…
  • I'm 29, 5'3" and aiming for around 1200/day (net). Anyone can add me :)
  • Hello all, I know I'm late to the party with introductions. I'm a nice girl, I swear. My name is Abbie, I'm from Canada. I recently graduated with a BA this June, which was freaking fantastic, I'm so glad to have school over and done with. I'm 5'3" if I'm having a tall day :) I was a normal to slightly chubby kid, though…
  • I have been lurking for a while, and this post is right up my alley so I decided to try and go against my usually shy nature. I have roughly 30lbs to get to my initial goal and I am starting to think I would like some friends on here :) I'll send you a request!
