Thanks! I've added my information.

My big progress was strictly getting on the scale this morning! Because of my daily fluctuations, I've avoided the scale for months. Well, I'm happy to say that I got on and was NOT more than what I have on MFP at my last weigh-in (2011.) I also took my measurements, and there were no changes there. I guess that's a lot to…

Smart words...I know I want to blink and have my weight lower, but there are not many calories burned in blinking!!! So instead, I will keep plugging away!

Best of luck to all! --Mary

It is sad how easily it comes back on. Kudos to you for getting on track before an even bigger number showed up. I've got a ways to go, so I, too, am making a smaller goal for New Years! Good luck! Mary

I walked for 30 minutes with some interval jogging this morning. Although I started this exercise commitment last week, I'm looking forward to weekly challenges to keep me going!

Hi all, my name is Mary and I've been away from MFP for a long while. I've been logging this week and feel I need more support than I've taken in the past. My New Year's goal is to be on track and down from where I am now. I have five children, ages 6-16, and a wonderful husband (19 years of marriage.) I teach 7th/8th…

Best of luck! You can do it!

I know when I go to the gym, I think people must be thinking bad things about me...it's probably all in my head! Most people go to the gym to work out! More power to anyone who works out, regardless of size! As for being the girl in the weight room, I've had guys tell me not to use their bench because it's already loaded…

Off day...yoga and some weights...I don't feel as tight as my first off day. Have a great and healthy day. Mary

Day 2 Week 1 C25K...my leg muscles were a bit weak today, but I kept going. I did yoga yesterday, and that helped me to stretch out a bit. I'm taking the advice of Nannykb and not being stressed about the speed of my runs. I'm just happy to be running! Have a healthy and strong day! Mary

I did a 20 minute yoga workout since I was stiff from yesterday's workout. I'm glad I did since I feel good now. Mary

My biggest struggle? Where do I start! As a wife, mom to five children (ages 4-15), a middle school teacher, and avid volunteer, I think I struggle with putting myself first. That covers it all. If I were to put myself first, then I would make time to journal my food, exercise, relax, make healthy meals.... Yikes! I vow to…

I need to join this group! I really need the motivation, and am highly interested in learning to run. I have two brothers who are marathoners, and although I don't have a desire as of yet to run marathons, I do want to run, starting with a 5K. (Maybe a marathon will be in my future!) I started the C25K training this…

No sooner did I get excited by this program, even downloading the app to my phone, than I get stricken with a nasty head cold. I did yoga as much as possible, but was depressed not to start. UNTIL TODAY! I am, however, in cheater mode. That is, I do not have a treadmill, and it is icing/snowing outside, so I listened to…

Best of luck! Supposedly, it only works if it's for you! Go for it!

I want to do this, too! I tried running this past summer, but injured my calf, so I am looking for the best way to be the healthiest runner possible. Mary

YOU can do it!

I'm glad you asked this question because I ask that same question every day. Why is it that I'm always starting day 1, but never waking up on day 2 with a day 2 mentality? I feel like I'm treading through a lifetime of being on day 1. My problem with day 1 is that by the end of the day, I'm feeling as if tomorrow will be…
