  • Look at https://www.amazon.com/Ozeri-Digital-Multifunction-Kitchen-Elegant/dp/B004164SRA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1482485163&sr=8-3&keywords=food+scale . This one can handle up to 10 lbs. while still being accurate down to a gram. I have other Ozeri products and have been satisfied wit them. I have to measure some things…
  • Under Armor, MyFitnessPal's parent company, makes the UA band. It syncs with MapMyFitness and MyFitnessPal I am assuming that would be a great option since it is virtually guaranteed to maintain compatibility with MFP through software/platform changes. You may want to Google reviews for it.…
  • It is not illegal per se to hire only females if doing so is essential for the normal operation of a company. It is called a bona fide occupational qualiication. Google that term for further explanation. Unfortunately, as is seen in the vast majority of civil cases, the subjectivity involved makes for blurred lines. If I…
  • Rainbowbow gave you the best short answer. The only clinically proven active constituent as it pertains to metabolism boosting is the caffeine. I am talking real quantifiable, consistent, unbiased, and repeated data. You would be better off going to a powder supplier and buying pure caffeine anhydrous powder for like $10…
  • Eggs, as said above, are a cheap way to get some protein. Tuna is $0.75 per can at Walmart here in Florida (their brand). Dry lentils are cheap and filling. Frozen vegetables are a good suggestion like jplinis stated. If you have a Dollar Tree store nearby you can save a lot of money on spices and condiments to make bland…
  • It's gotta be because of the new training intensity and plyometric pressure on the joints. I train squats and lunges outside and I do it barefoot to actually prevent injury/pain.
  • If I were you I would try to hit that 1700 mark on a daily basis. I mean it is only a rough estimating tool, but your total daily energy expenditure calculates at 2200 cals/day for a sedentary lifestyle with your stats. That means even 1700 cals should put you at a deficit. I noticed you hit that some days, but other days…
  • The wake up early/hit the gym before work suggestion that was given above is the best way to do it. It sucks for the first week or two (caffeine helps), but then it really powers you up to take on your day. Although we probably have different goals with our training, my best progress in the gym was made during a time when…
  • Raw, generally. Here is a link to the USDA's official database information for regular raw potatos (whole, including skin): http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods/show/3127?fg=Vegetables+and+Vegetable+Products&man=&lfacet=&format=&count=&max=25&offset=&sort=&qlookup=potato Their database is sometimes useful to determine whether…
  • The formula for calculating your basal metabolic rate (how many calories you burn per day just to stay alive) is as follows and based on the Harris-Benedict method: Woman's BMR = 655 + (9.6 X weight in kg) + (1.8 x height in cm) – (4.7 x age in yrs) You then multiply that by "activity factor" to come up with your TDEE, or…
  • there was a study done recently in germany or somewhere like that where 26 men with about the same stats were tested for how many calories they burnt throughout a workout - one group consumed roughly 500 calories an hour before training, and the other consumed the 500 calories after training. the rest of their diets were…

  • i add crystal light or sugar free kool aid to my water. doesnt add calories and gives the water some flavor, which makes it easier to drink more.
  • i drink a couple gallons a day. hyponatremia would be your only real concern but it would take a lot more than consuming 4L of water a day to go into serious sodium deficiency.
