Once in awhile I put a picture on fb. The last one was a few weeks ago and I got a lot of comments on how good I looked. One person wrote that I look so much younger (loved that!). I haven't said anything about weight loss though. As someone else said maybe when I reach 100 I will just put "100" on my status.

The type of food I eat determines how much I lose. Some say that only calories matter, but I am consistently losing 10 lbs a month so eating mostly non processed food is helping me. I can't believe someone just brought this topic up. I was just thinking about the fact that I have to increase my water intake, but I don't like to because of the bathroom issue. I have been drinking more on the weekends, but that is not enough.

My husband finally bought me a new setting for my engagement ring a couple of months ago and now it is too big. Better to have to make it smaller than bigger.

Today was the first day I cooked fennel. I had it once before in a restaurant. I sauteed it with zucchini, tomatoes and tarragon. It was wonderful and I will be cooking with it more.

I had a good week and I have lost 71 lbs so far. I wasn't feeling good last week and didn't exercise as usual but I still lost. Hopefully I will do better with the exercise this week.

I was a big night time eater. I do not eat after dinner and that just helps me stay on track. Everyone has to do what works for them. If you hit a plateau, make a change.

That is great! This morning I realized that the past few weeks have been very emotional for me, but I am still on track. This is the first time in 30 years that I didn't turn to food when things got tough. Be proud of yourself because it is a huge moment when you realize that there are other ways of coping with bad days!

I love fruit, but I have found to lose weight I usually only eat it for breakfast and almost never after 3:00. The only time I will have fruit after dinner is if I am out and everyone is eating cakes and cookies. The I will eat a few strawberries. It seems to work for me. I have my fruit everyday, but not too much.

I drink more water, excercise a little more and carefully watch everything I eat until the damage is undone and I am back on track.

Being of mom and working I get the time problem. I get up at 5:00 and I think come September it will be 4:30 am. It's too crazy in the afternoon between activities and dinner. I am too tired plus I live in a small house so there is no privacy after dinner (not fun having teenagers in and out of house while I am excercising)

My taste buds are so different now. My sister who is a nutritionist says that this is common ( we were talking about this last weekend). I can't believe how good vegetables and fruit taste now. I also notice the flavors of herbs and spices.

I started this journey 5 months ago and I have lost 56 lbs. I used to get upset over not losing weight consistently, but now I see a pattern.
