A lot of your diary entries show you only logging (for examples) half or 2/3 a sandwich or 1/4 of a loaded baked potato or 3/4 a cup of cereal...does this really mean you're only eating 1/4 to 1/3 of a sandwich or 1/8 of a loaded potato or 3/8 (?!) of a cup of cereal?? How do you even measure that? If you find yourself…

I have about 40lbs *left* to lose, feel free to add me!

^This! It looks like you eat out a lot, even if you're deconstructing what is in your meal sometimes to add to your diary, it doesn't look like you're bringing your digital scale out to eat with you. The problem with this, even when nutritional information is given, it's generally not all that accurate or there is a…

I was right there with you not long ago! Started at 270, restarted in August at 255. My goal is 140 (meaning a total loss of 130) and now I'm down to 187. It gets easier! The hardest part is starting (REALLY starting!) and making it a habit, but you'll get there and you'll look back and think "Holy crap!! I did it!".…

I wish I could go through and hit a "like" button for all these posts! Thanks everyone!

Thanks everyone! It's surreal to finally see the evidence in pics! I weigh EVERYTHING, stick to my calories like 95% of the time, walk walk walk (I do between 5 and 9 miles a day), take the stairs (I do between 30 and 50 flights a day), just find reasons to get up and move even if it's going to the bathroom every hour and…

How much more comfortable movie theater and airplane seats are now!

If you're consistent and really stick to it you can! I'm 33, 5'5". I started at 254 on Aug 16th last year and now I'm at 189 even after lots of holiday celebrations and a 10 day Disney vacation. I started at 1200-1300 calories a day for 3 months, walked at least an extra hour everyday (outside of my normal steps from…

My boyfriend of 4 years ended things with me 3 months ago, a month into my weight loss, and 3 months after I had rented out my home and moved in with him. He was/is a serial cheater and every aspect of the relationship and breakup, which in some ways is still ongoing, continue to devastate me everyday. Both of us are in…

I think it just depends on how you process the daily information from the scale. I weigh everyday, actually at the beginning and end of everyday. But, I do this to learn patterns of how my body reacts to things like water, sodium, etc. Learning how my body weight fluctuates and why it fluctuates keeps me from being shocked…

I would be lost without my Fitbit! :) http://www.fitbit.com/user/23642B Anyone feel free to add me here or there.

I assume you're referring to the "calories you can eat for the day" section? The counts from Fitbit do fluctuate and readjust between what it's expecting you to burn and what your fitbit records for activity throughout the day. I think you can change that in your settings by taking it off "personalized". But, I wouldn't…

Is it syncing throughout the day? I can't sync mine until I get home at night, so all day the calories I "can" eat go down on my page since Fitbit doesn't know I'm moving/exercising. Once I get home and it syncs, the calories I can eat go back up to where they should be. I'll also see a small flux downward at the end of…

Just started this tonight! I've been walking about 4-7 miles a day for the last few months. Generally broken up into a single 1 hour walk and several smaller walks around the block throughout the work day. So to keep that hour of exercise I actually did Week 1, Day 1 twice in a row and I didn't die! felt awesome!
