The QUALITY of sleep makes a huge difference to me. A good night sleep with very little tossing and turning is 7 hours. Melatonin has been my saving grace to get a great night sleep,,,! Highly recommend.

Great tips. I am new to running as well. Thanks for posting. I am voice.g to run my first ever 5k in december with ny baughtert at the Tampa Color Run...very excited. The color run has a similar running plan as well. My plan is to do each week twice.
