  • I'll send you a friend request too. I quite smoking several years ago and I know that pain! Always looking to add supportive, active MFP friends. I started about 2 years ago and have lost lots of the friends I started with :(.
  • I am due with my first on December 21st. Kinda old for my first kid at 36 but that is just how my life has gone. :) I don't intend to change much in the first trimester if possible but I am adding back more fruits. I have had to work really, really hard to lose the 30 or so lbs I have lost in the last 8 months or so and…
  • Yeah I don't get the "oh that is old" thing either. When I post my Jazzercise workout I often get comments from MFP friends like "go Jazz hands" I'm always like- yeah enjoy that fun treadmill while I am rockin it with friends and good music!
  • I love the holiday classes. Always try to go on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. The energy is so fun! Other than that, I have not gone to any theme classes but I think there has been only 1 since I started 2 years ago.
  • I've done Jazzercise 2 years 3x per week. I also do Elliptical on most days I do not Jazzercise. I really enjoy Jazzercise but I would recommend that you use a heart rate monitor if you are going to log your calories from a class on MFP. I would say that 650-700 calories is not realistic. 300-500 woudl be a more accurate…

  • Check out Juice Plus. This is not a "juicing" program. It provides REAL food supplements from fruits and veggies. They also have a protein powder. It is a Nutritional supplement and has a Nutritional label- an important differnence from most.
  • This is the HARD part! Some restaurants will list their nutritional content online so I will check there before going out to get an idea. if that is not an option I try to search for the ingredients one by one - MFP has a HUGE data base. Or I will log insomething similar. In this case, maybe pizza with the same…
  • Feel free to add me ladies! I joined 6 months ago and love it! Unfortunately many of the friends I started with have either quit or happily reached their goals.
  • 105 Calories: 2 slices Canadian Bacon & omlett with Egg Beaters, Spinach and a little low fat Feta. I have this almost every day. We substitute chopped Asparagus and Red Bell Peppers some days. EDIT- I forgot to add my Juice Plus+ BEST ever to get veggie and fruit WHOLE food benefits.
  • Just sent you a friend request! A side note- we have the same halloween costume! I was the girl that gets tied up to the rail road tracks last fall and used that Dorothy costume.
  • Hi Lauren- Feel free to add me. I have been on this for about 6 months and will admit to a bit of slacking the last few. But I am back on board and so excited to kick it into gear again. I love MFP and I hope you do to. Carrie
  • I have a great inspirational quote that I hang on my computer monitor every day: Success will never be a big step in the future, success is a small step taken just now. When I get bummed I think about what could I do right now that is a small step in the right direction. Sometimes it is to put down the darn cookie I was…
  • I'm open also!
  • I looked and looked for something like this awhile ago! Thanks soooo much for posting!
  • Elliptical hands down! high tension and a fast rpm has me dripping with sweat in no time!
  • Halloween has been a major motivation for me all along! We have a huge Halloween party each year. I'll try to post a pic of the hot mess I was last year. I just said to my husband that I want to put the same costume on and take a pic this year to see the difference! SW- 197.5 GW- 177.5 Wow that looks like a lot when you…
  • Juice Plus Complete- Juice Plus+ is a 100% natural plant-based and fiber-rich “clean and green” whole foods shake that is free of animal products, dairy, gluten, wheat, yeast and artificial sweeteners. And it is yummy!
  • I recently visited LA and went on a 36 mile bike tour of Beverly hills, Hollywood, Santa Monica etc and it was a blast and great exercise. The next day I saw some folks doing the tour on these as well and was really sad for them. I have the memory of a great work out on my trip and they will have the memory of being really…
  • On of my inspirations is my good coworker and friend who has lost nearly 80 pounds in the last year. Often I would hear people make comments to her and her reply was perfect "Thank you! I feel great!. I have probably heard her say that 50 times! And I can't wait to say it too!
  • Snack sized Hershey bars are killing me! I have a co-worker who stocks them every morning. I had 8 on friday! Managed to stay away yesterday and so far today but who knows- there are 4 hours left in the work day and my cravings challenge me minute by minute.
  • I dream of off the shelf! I try to make my husband understand how important that goal is. Thanks for sharing so I can tell him I'm not the only one "ridiculously excited" about that!
  • A stunning transformation! Great job! BTW I am jealous of your travel schedule!!
  • Incredible! Thanks for sharing your story and congratuations!
  • I think nutritional labels should be correct if they are required.... period. While we are at it let's get nutritional information in restaurants too! Then perhaps you won't have people eating 1500 calorie salads and thinking they are making the healthy choice. Seriously it is hard enough to figure out what to eat when you…
  • I have a 11 year old paint draft cross mare- tennesseewalker / Shire. She is amazing!! Ironically we are both shedding the weight right now. She was called voluptuous by her vet about a year ago so we have taken about 400 lbs off her (don't freak! She was really over weight and 16+ hands). That is her in my tracker below…
  • I'll add you. Your bean pole comment made me laugh. My husband is the same way. Always skinny no matter what he does. I am so lucky he is super supportive! He does most of the cooking and I only have to occasionally remind him of my diet restrictions.
  • The scale is sometimes the worst, most evil, tempermental contraption ever made! Take some measurements or pictures to compare to in the future instead and chuck that thing out the window or at least weigh less frequently.
  • We have found that if you make a few subsitutions in most recipies you can still make the same things. For example we used to make Sloppy Joe's with the canned stuff and ground beef and a big ol hamburger bun. Now we do Extra Lean Ground Turkey and a Whole Wheat Pita pocket and the same Sloppy Joe sauce. Add a side of…
  • I have about 50 to lose as well. Love the app and decided to try the community. Anyone can add me too!
