  • That sounds wickedly awesome. I bookmarked it!
  • I was a faithful soldier for about 5 months and have been off the wagon now for about 2 months. I'm trying to get back into the swing of things, but I seem to have lost my motivation. I'm working on staying on track 5 minutes at a time currently. Welcome back! I'm definitely feeling your pain!
  • I have my suspicions that it is deep fried when you get it at the thai place. It's way too evenly crispy and golden to have done it any other way. That said, I had good success one time frying tofu for fajitas. I think I was using olive oil. I cut the tofu into strips. Then I very carefully, one little strip at a time,…
  • Yep. Had mine 8 years ago. Gained back almost half of what I lost. This time making the lifestyle change I was not prepared to make my first go-round.
  • I sat mine on the table one time to see how far I could go. The answer is not much more than arms length. When I do my 30 day shred, I fasten it around the strap of my bra to keep from pushing the buttons. You could probably get by with putting it in your pocket or something.
  • Well, if we didn't have food issues, we wouldn't have use of the site. That may not be true for everyone, but for most of us the struggle with food is a fact of life. What better place to advertise your milky way bar then on a site for people who need help curbing their bad behavior.? :) I wish I had a milky way. That…
  • I like sandwich thins. I can't remember who makes them, but it's only 100 calories, compared to whatever you would usually spend on 2 slices of bread or a bun.

  • I'm not European, but I work nights. Many of my MFP friends ARE European because I post all night and sleep during the day.
  • I use a lot of cottage cheese. And morningstar products but the sodium content is not the best.
  • I've been wanting to try them but I hadn't heard from anyone who was using them. I'd LOVE a set, but my wife would probably rather I didn't spend $60 on a set of workout DVD's. And I can't find them used/less expensive anywhere!
  • Some people swear by vitamins. Some people insist that the amount of good that is actually absorbed from them is negligible. I used to use...what the hell was that called...VEMA, I think, that was supposed to be better. But expensive so I dropped it. I take a multivitamin every day, mostly so my grandmother won't nag me…
  • Pretty much all fast food. Everything else I can do in moderation. I went to Taco Bell the other day and got the fresco bean burrito which they advertise as being more healthy. Looked up the info when I got home. Not so much. I used to LOVE my McDonald's. I will every now and again have a mocha when the calories allow, or…
  • At the risk of being labeled the whiny minority, you may be attempting too much too fast. If you haven't exercised at all, maybe a week of "very light exercise" isn't enough preparation for the shred. I'd been working out regularly for like 3 months before I started it, and I still can't do it daily. (I do shred it with…
  • Blog?
  • One of my girlfriends from work (we're nurses) accidentally stepped on someone's necrotic toe and broke it off. He didn't notice, but she still does the icky dance for a long time if you bring it up.
  • I've never seen a bagel thin and I was just mourning the bagel I couldn't have last week. Now I need to browse the grocery store!
  • I have been eating like a fiend for 2 months and not working out like I should. But now it's nice outside and I can go outside to run. Yay! I'm just feeling so awesome about spring coming that I'm energetic and enthusiastic about getting back on track. Plus, I'd like to buy some new clothes in a month or so, and I'd like…
  • I am a bad snacker. I also have the habit of getting up in the middle of the night, headed to the bathroom or whatever and deciding I need a little something. I keep a bag of mini york peppermint patties on the fridge for such emergencies. One mini patty usually takes care of whatever need I'm having and it's only 50…
  • Welcome! I hope you feel at home here.
  • I think it's also important to remove guilt from the equation. You fall off the wagon and have one completely crazy day of eating, which then leads you to think, "I'm doomed to be fat and lazy. I can't do this." Or you do irreparable damage early in the day and give up the rest of the day as a loss. If you mess up today,…
  • You do have lovely lips. Voted for you.
  • I have a sigma sport something or another. I'm very fond of it. But I have found that the exercise calories mfp predicts are pretty accurate for me, anyway.

  • You must have the same phone I do!
  • I do shred it with weights. It's a good core and lower body workout, but I don't feel like it does as much for my upper body.
  • I wish I knew. Eating, smoking, pen-chewing...none of them good options. I have at least managed to quit smoking but I chew on all kinds of random things if I'm not paying attention. :)
  • You're going to lose weight slowly because you don't have much to lose. Those of us with a little more to love lose faster. But it looks like you've come about a quarter of the way, so you're making good progress. Just think about how good you'll feel about yourself when you've reached that goal. :)
  • Salad, low fat cottage cheese with grape tomatoes, bananas, Del Monte cut green and wax beans, yogurt (I freeze yoplait light and eat it like ice cream when I want something sweet), popcorn popped at home with no calorie butter spray, Aldi Fit and Active 100 calorie chocolate cupcakes with creamy filling, and york mini…
  • I think it's actually a good thing to do both at the same time. You've decided that your current lifestyle is neither healthy nor desireable. So you're fixing it. Congratulations on your newfound enthusiasm for healthy living!
  • Crystal light! None of the metabolism ones with caffeine. Just a plain lemonade. It makes the water go down much more easily on the days that I'm not that interested in my water.
