Walnuts are good.

You can add me too.

I've been low carb/ketogenic now for about a year. I'm happy to answer any questions I can.
-
Just got out of bed. Add me if you like.
-
What is it about soda that does that? I find if I start drinking Pepsi Max I will drink gallons of the stuff.
-
Brilliant!

How do you find your hunger levels now that you have added some carbs back? Have they increased? I ask because since reducing my carbs my hunger signals have really decreased.
-
Indeed. What did you add back in?
-
I'm not sure if this is even on topic now - I can't be bothered to wade through the all the self-importance - but since I lower my consumption of carbs and sugar I have , obviously, had to consume more fat. My protein levels have stayed pretty much the same. I have found that I have needed to eat less often due to feeling…

I refer you to my last answer.

Doesn't make a difference to me. Pick which ever one makes you feel better about yourself.

I have been avoiding sugars and carbs for a while now and I have to say I have never felt better. So, personally, I couldn't give a **** who is right. Low carb works for me. And, in the end, that's all that counts as far as I'm concerned. I can't help but notice that people seem more keen to prove themselves right than to…

I have tried re-feeds after giving Kiefer's Carb Nite Soloution a shot. I found I would just eat far too much. I also didn't like the mental aspect of having one day when I was allowed to eat "Forbidden Foods." I'm not saying that re-feeding is something to be avoided, just that some people may cause themselves more grief…
-
I would be careful with refeeds for the following reasons: 1. Carb cravings I don't know how the cravings were for everyone but I know some people suffer with terribly. After a few eeks they go but what happens if you eat a ton of carbs again? Is it not a bit like an alcoholic going on an alcohol reefed? 2. Ketosis You are…

I can agree with this. Although I'm not bipolar I have suffered with depression and I have found my keto diet has helped me with it. My mood is much more even and I no longer feel like life isn't worth it.
-
I agree with LauraDotts. You can't gain two kilograms of fat overnight. That works out over 14,000 calories!
-
Personally I'd go with the diet coke. Both it and the orange juice will cause an insulin spike but at least with the diet coke you're not getting any calories. Personally I'd see if I could order coffee instead.
-
Add me. I've been going for 70 days straight!
-
You can't outrun your mouth.

Always remember this: Opinions are like arseholes - everyone's got one.

I don't want to add more confusion into the mix but it might be worth considering your stress levels. You're on a restricted calorie diet which can place a stress on the body. You exercise a lot and people forget that exercise is a stress on the body. How much sleep are you getting? Lack of sleep is also a source of…

A good thing to remember is the saying (I don't know where it comes from): Wherever you are is where you are. This always reminds me to work from where I am and not from where I think I should be. I can then think forward and set small goals which will allow me to progress going forward. Hope this of some use to you.
-
I can suggest three courses of action. 1. Eat before you go, preferably a protein source which will fill you up and make you less inclined to eat once you are there. Tell your friends you are just not that hungry. 2. Eat the takeaway but again aim for a high protein source which will fill you up and hopefully stop you…

You lost ten stone. Amazing.

I'm in Essex!

If you are new to weight training or exercise it is possible that you have lost body fat and gained a similar weight in muscle mass. It doesn't happen over night, though. Using scales to measure your progress is okay but it is limited. Your body weight is just one data point. It is worth thinking about taking regular…

The simplest way to describe Paleo is eating foods as close to their natural state as possible. If it came off the carcass of an animal, was picked from a plant or was pulled out the ground then you're getting pretty close. A Paleo diet tends to be on the low carb side as there is not a huge amount of carbs in those types…

LOL!

I've only just joined and I'm in Essex.
