Apparently he did have a protein shake, a vitamin pill and vegetables every day as well as all of the cake, so obviously not as bad nutritionally as it could have been.

Thanks for rebumping this. Apparently my calorie deficit is probably too high (mfp set it to 500 a day when my BMI is 26.5). This is going to be interesting, most days I have enough trouble eating enough as it is. When I joined I really didn't think I'd be struggling to eat enough. *rolls eyes*

I've had several people seem very surprised when they find out how much I weigh - apparently I look about 20lb less than that. I wouldn't say I'm very muscular either... no idea where my body hides it.

I'm a phd student. In terms of mfp the benefits are that I can't snack while I'm working because eating in labs is forbidden, the less good side is that I can't even have healthy snacks during the day.

I find just being on here helps. I make myself log everything. Generally my main method of avoiding the chocolate binges seems to be trying to displace my craving for that towards fruit or tea (normally tea... tea solves everything). Also just going on the internet and bothering my friends for hugs over msn after a bad day…

Thanks for this. It's totally kicked me back into only eating free range, organic meat rather than going along with what my housemates want to do. Still not going to be vegetarian, although tbh I eat like one most days anyway.

How do you manage that? My protein levels are always too low. Not really sure how to increase them without drastically changing the way I eat.
