  • I swear by the Polar FT40. One of the more expensive ones, but worth every penny.

  • Did L2 today. Thinking of holding off a few more days before I go on to L3, as I don't do normally the shred on the days I hit the gym. So I am stretching it out over probably closer to 40 days.
  • I have a two year old FT40, and I had no problem changing the battery a few months back. If it looks like you should be able to open in the back, then you should be able to changing it out yourself. I got it open no problem, but had a little problems getting the battery itself out, as it sat in pretty good. But it was…
  • Sounds like the battery for both of you. Mine lasted longer before I had to change it, but I didn't wear it as often, which would explain that. The way yours are acting is just how mine was though. Changing the battery is easy, and no need to an authorized dealer. It's pretty straight forward, so you should be able to do…

  • Oh this sounds like fun to try and see if I can do!!! Week 1 Weekly Goal: 3500 Mon: calories burned (how they were burned) Tues: calories burned (how they were burned) Wed: calories burned (how they were burned) Thur: calories burned (how they were burned) Fri: calories burned (how they were burned) Sat: calories burned…
  • Make sure it is located correctly (as someone mentioned, about where your sports bra stops). I have mine as high up as I can under by breasts, without chafing of course (yes, it can happen, and is not fun). If it drops out, make sure it's wet enough. I know you said it was, but sometimes, it seems to be but it just isn't.…
  • We got it free with a magazine at some point I think, but yes, Zumba 30 minute express was the name of it. The DVD has a run down of the basic Zumba moves, as well as the 20 minute program. I don't know if you can buy it separate anywhere, but it does come as part of the Zumba kits you see all over I believe. And I figure…
  • I'd say I have at least 50 to lose, probably closer to 60 or 70. I'm also ready to not just loose the weight, but keep it off by changing my lifestyle! Feel free to add me. :)
  • Stick with it even if you are sore. My first week my abs were burning, but then it got better. I did my second day of level 2 today, and it's still hard but so much fun as well. And as someone mentioned, up the weights if you are able, as it will give you a better workout. I do 2lbs on anything that involves my shoulders,…
  • If you are not used to that kind of training, you are going to be sore and stiff all over the first week. My abs hurt for the first week, but now I don't notice it much anymore. Just gotta stick with it! Now, for the question: I have only done the 30DS from JM's DVDs, but am looking into Ripped in 30 next. I also have the…
  • Adding you! Just started myself, and am aiming to loose at least 40, hopefully closer to 60, by July next year :)
  • JM's 30 Day Shred level 2 (30 min), followed by some Zumba for 25 minutes :)
  • Depending on the DVD you do, it could be. And it also comes down to how accurate your HRM settings are. I recently did a new Fitness Test on my Polar HRM, and I now burn 50 calories less than I did a few days ago for 30DS L1. It had been months since I changed the settings on my HRM, so it had become less accurate, giving…
  • I just use the regular water bottles that I can buy bottled water in. No plastic taste or anything of the sort. I used them for a while, then buy new ones. They come in 0.7 litre bottles as well, which is awesome.

  • I am fairly sure that you need to be very disciplined while on this kind of diet. From what I have read about it, if you mess up one day and eat too many carbs, it can take up to a week for you body to get back to the ketosis state. Of course, if you manage that, then I don't think it will do you harm (have not heard of…

  • That is awesome!!!! Keep up the great work you are doing!!!!
  • I'm a week into 30DS, and so far I am loving it. Also doing gym workouts three-four times a week, but I love the fact that I can pop in her DVD and work out without having to have the two-three hours of freetime I need to head to the gym! It's my first one of her DVDs, and I am trying to decide which to buy next, he he.…

  • For the 30 Day Shred L1 I am currently burning about 300. Hopefully that will go up once I hit the L2, which I'll move on to in a few days :)
  • I would suggest band aid or something like that to cover your nipples when you run. If you check the sports store they might have something that was made for this task as well. Here is some info from the Livestrong website: http://www.livestrong.com/article/807-prevent-runners-nipple/ For women it's easier though: Wear a…
  • Day four, L1. Might have to switch it up to L2 early, as I feel L1 is starting to get easy. Although, I am buying heavier weights tomorrow (been using 1kg/2pund) so hopefully that will help me burn more.
  • I would also try changing up what sort of exercise you do. I started off with the 30 Day Shred, and that along with two longer trips to the gym gave me 3 pounds off in six days. I just started changing my diet though, so that will of course also have an impact on the results. Even if that is not an option right now, trying…
  • I'd been normal/thin most of my teens, probably thanks to being active with various sports. Then at 17 I moved to the US for a year for High School, and there I gained about 40 pounds. I know it was down to what I ate, which was not even trying to be healthy (so I don't blame it completely on the US food, although in…
  • I just joined myself six days ago. Been trying to loose weight for so long, and since I had some time off right now, I figured why not. My name is Cicilie, and I'm from Norway :) Feel free to add me for support :)

  • Did day three today (skipped yesterday as I was at the gym instead). It's getting a bit easier, so maybe I can move on to L2 in a few days. We'll see how that goes.
  • Finished day two. Woot for two days in a row. I also had a session at the gym yesterday, so today I really felt it in my midsection. Getting up off the floor was a challenge :) Now I just gotta keep it going tomorrow.
  • I'll have to try this today and see how it goes. Been doing it the other way, mostly cause it's been more convenient I think.
