Pizza! I've tried making my own healthier versions, and they're ok, but they're no comparison. But the problem is I will eat the whole pizza haha. And anything covered in frosting.

I really like it. I've tried some others but they just had too many negative side effects for me, and I haven't experienced any with this. I think it's worth asking your doctor about it for sure. Best of luck, dealing with anxiety is absolutely awful.

I take buproprion (Wellbutrin) for my depression/anxiety. All other ones I've tried seemed to have increased my appetite substantially, but I switched off of them for different unfavorable side effects. When I first started this one, it actually decreased my appetite for a few weeks, then it returned to normal. The same…

Calorie wise it could have been a lot worse?? But sometimes it happens, I've had my fair share of days like that for sure. But don't sweat it too much, think about why it happened and just get back on track which it sounds like you're doing.
-
Calorie deficit is what will make you lose weight, so don't worry about the gym membership now. There are tons of people who have lost without stepping foot in a gym, myself included. Make sure you're accurate in your tracking, and squeeze in exercise where you can. Jog in place waiting for the microwave, squat while…

I never realized this was a "thing" until recently. I have one but it's because I have massive hips, which is probably good so my big ole thighs don't start a friction fire...but honestly, if it's not in your structure or if you'd have to go to unhealthy lengths for a goal I strongly urge you to reconsider, you'll go crazy…

My name, "and nothing sounds quite like an 8 0 8" (lyric in Super Disco Breakin' - Beastie Boys, as Hello Nasty is one of my favorite albums of all time haha)

Same thing happened to me. I'm getting close to maintenance and I swear the more I up my calories the hungrier I get!

28 year old regular logger/lifter, feel free to add

Same as what I carry now, but with an IWB holster...very nice ;) So there's that. Nerd. Horror movie lover. Dirty mind/talk like a sailor. Lift like a she beast listening to metal. Apparently I look "wholesome and sweet". This thread has been entertaining to read.

Congrats on the loss, and I totally agree on the food scale. Definitely helps keep correct portion sizes and are recommended by people on here daily for a reason. Now I know what serving sizes are of my daily foods without having to weigh them too much anymore, and mostly use it for produce/meat nowadays. As far as…

Arguing on the internet is almost as big a waste of time as I spent reading this entire thread. Facts, science, studies, logic, and personal experiences apparently are not valid points. The Godzilla/broccoli gif made me spit some juice out. And I only went to community college so if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go get a…

Wow!! What a difference, great job! Such a great example of heavy lifting results too, very inspirational.

It wasn't until recently that I started to accept my body, after spending most of my adult life wishing it was different. I'm never going to be tiny, always be pear shaped, and my bone structure will never change, and all of that is okay. However, that doesn't mean that I'm not working towards making it the best machine it…

I had this same concern when I first signed up for the gym quite some time ago, then quickly realized that nobody cares. Wear what is comfortable for you to workout in. I started off with looser fitting, dark colored clothing, as I tend to sweat A LOT. Higher waisted yoga or compression pants are also great if you're…

I tried Zumba 1 time and did not like it haha, so I have a limited opinion on that. But I love TurboFire! I've gone thru the whole program and had great results, now I pick my favorite dvds to do for cardio on my non-lifting days. They do require a little coordination, but after you've done it a couple times it's not a big…

I've been taking bupropion for anxiety/depression for about 6 months. When I first started taking it I was not hungry at all, that lasted a few weeks and then my appetite started to return to normal. I wouldn't say that I lost any weight on it or anything, but I had tried other antidepressants in the past that seemed to…

Great decision! And like everyone else has already said, you can eat the foods you like just in moderation. Take this month to get into the habit of logging everything you eat and drink and getting the correct portion sizes down. Make changes, but don't try and overhaul your diet all at once. Read the message boards, get…

I like tighter pants for working out (tight pants, loose longer shirt combo). I'm 5'6", 143lbs, typically wear a size 8US pant, and usually go with a size medium compression bottom, size small for other bottoms. My favorite brands are actually from Target and Old Navy, very good prices and comparable to more expensive…

Yep, it will make you retain water. If I don't keep my sodium in check I notice significant bloating the next day and sometimes an increase on the scale if I weigh. I hate that feeling so I really try not to go over my sodium intake, and it's crazy how much sodium is in food when you start looking at it.

I have less than 10lbs til my goal weight and have increased my calories more towards maintenance over the last couple weeks, was eating 1400, now eating 1600. My weight hadn't moved in a while and even though I was eating good foods I was still feeling hungry, and a little sluggish in my workouts, so I kind of just…

Great decision! Like others have suggested, body weight exercises are a great way to start! I did this for quite a while using youtube videos, then bought a set of adjustable dumbbells for added resistance. I use the gym now for lifting heavier now, but saw great results just from using my body weight and dumbbells. Good…

I've struggled with my weight and body image my whole life, and I would "try" diets and exercise but never stuck to anything. I really do think it's because I wasn't ready in a way, not that I wasn't ready to lose weight, but I wasn't ready to put in the work, take control, or potentially fail. It was more of a confidence…

Currently eating 1600 a day and working on upping that. I love me some delicious food and eating the heck out of it. Feel free to add!

I lost and gained and now lost again about 45lbs in the past 5ish years, and for me it was a combination of a couple things. 1) I "dieted" instead of focusing on portion control, moderation, and good balanced nutrition. Not something that was sustainable for me, but I didn't know it at the time. 2) No maintenance, went…

Uggggh I hate that too! Put it back in order like you found it! I don't want to have to search thru two racks to find the weight I'm looking for! I thought it was just my OCD kicking in haha. /rant

People not racking their weights drives me crazy!! Why do I have to waste my workout time taking off your plates? There's a few people at my gym who never rack, and I'm talking leaving 45lb plates on every machine they use. If I see they are done and leaving the weight room I say "You gonna rack your weights?" rather…

I thought it hurt at first too. I used a cushion wrap that lays on the floor next to the squat rack. It doesn't bother me anymore, probably a combination of getting used to it and also developing my muscles more. And like somebody else mentioned, make sure the bar is not sitting on the spine, but a little lower. I watched…

I personally feel like Dr. Oz is as credible a doctor as Dr. Pepper. Anything I've ever read that he says or on his show is false information or trying to sell you into something, in this case the paleo diet. While we all know somebody who has counted calories, lost weight and then gained it back (heck, it's happened to me…

Funny, I have an issue with cereal too. Not good cereals though, the pure sugar ones. I'll eat the whole box, so I don't keep any at home. And pizza and mac n cheese, my only two portion sizes with it are none, or all of it.
