Great job! I did the same thing  I packed 4 large trash bags full of clothes and took them all to work whatever did not get snatched up I donated to a women's shelter. I must say that while I missed my comfortable clothes at first, there is just a feeling of having a safety net that I no longer had; I even joked…

I am so glad I stumbled across this post. Thank you all! I was also worried about consuming too many grams of sugar per day, and I have not consumed any refined sugars in at least 2 months. BUT I am eating fruit, in moderation of course; but I have been sticking to apples, grapefruits and some strawberries (the season is…

Stalls happen :) the important thing to remember is to push through them! You CAN do this

It really depends, at work it's easy for the time to fly by but when it's slow then I get bored and imagine myself hungry throughout. At home I get to try out new recipes but when I get bored .. yikes! Watch out. So far I have been able to pull it off because I don't keep any sweets around at home, but that can be a…

First of all THANK YOU! I am going to hit the 3-0 in the next year and I am so glad to hear that you are having a great time. You are doing an amazing job and such an inspiration. I am hoping to get 2012 started off right with a 10k and then work my way up to at least a half marathon by April. Keep up the great work :)…

Ahahaha! I am having the same problem. I have been filling up on almonds, apples with peanut butter .. and today I tried a protein bar, Pure Protein. I think protein is supposed to help you stay full right? Yikes! I am new to all of this nutrition stuff so I could be wrong but my trainer friend recommended that for extra…

I never realized that water does that to appetite! No wonder I am always feeling SOO full. For the last couple of weeks I have been consistently drinking over 4 liters of water everyday. About half of it plain and another half in the form of tea, no sugar added of course. Thanks for the information!

Darn! I was hoping someone posted one :( I am also looking for a soup recipe. My only restrictions right now are that I cannot have starches, ie no carrots or potatoes. I am going to keep a close eye on this blog

Wow! You are brave. I was weighing myself everyday too! And I am supposed to weigh myself everyday now, but my mood would go south so quickly that I HAD to limit myself to once a week. With that in mind, everybody is different and if everyday works for you then go for it :)

When I started this journey my goal was also to become a healthier person. I know you can do this, just keep that goal in mind.

For me it depends, I have snacked after dinner occasionally but I tend to have finished eating/snacking 2-3 hours before I go to bed. I have tried eating right before bed a couple of times and I did not really feel well. I can't really explain it, but I felt uncomfortable while trying to fall asleep and my stomach felt all…

Request sent! I hope you are having a great day :)

Today was a rough start, but I pulled through. I was able to consume more calories than yesterday :) But I am still a bit worried about the increase on Sunday. I am planning on going to the grocery store tomorrow to get some more fruits and browse the deli section to get some more recipe ideas. I am still very much…

Another day, another goal met! Calorie Goal: 1000 Calories Consumed: 802 Difference: 198 I was a bit more under than I would normally like, but I am very full today and I cannot imagine eating a single thing more. I think I need to include some calories in Snack #3. I'll have to start giving this some more thought and…

I am very sorry to hear that some friends are not being supportive. To me, seeing those "atta girl" comments really make my day and in a way I feel a little bit accountable to my MFP friends; and it makes me try harder and keep focused on my fitness goals. It definitely goes two ways though, I am not trying to sell myself…
