I like that: each day is a new day- start now! I want some rewards on a personal level, and need to keep motivated. I need some internal motivators to keep me moving day by day.

Slow and steady will be my mantra too. I was told that if I do aerobic exercise only, my results will not be optimal. Does anyone agree? Why or why not?
-
I agree- I would like to measure success by clothes size. Walking around the block has made a significant difference in my size, and it's better than just sitting there doing nothing.

Having the commitment- that's right! Sometimes we must exercise intensely to produce rapid results.

I have found that sometimes it's not so much what exercises we do but rather how we do them that matters most. Any one agree?

I went from a 22 to 16-18 a few years ago. But now I've hit a stop in the weight loss. I've learned that I need more water than i realize. I was told that muscles grow while your resting/recuperating/exercising. I heard people gain weight from carb overdose. But I am trying to move onward and upward. Any ideas?

Keep giving it another try...I like that also. This quote motivated me today: When you overcome resistance, you create the power to continually reach higher. Let's do it!!!

Please share your successes and setbacks with me. I've been trying all these different techniques, and trying to carefully monitor / measure my results. But I'm at an all time high (weight wise), yet I had to buy a belt for all my pants. I still want the scale to tell me I'm small....help please.

I am on hte same path as you. I walk around the gym, scratching my head, trying to figure out what I should do.

I cannot even think about pounds to drop....it seems so impossible. But if I could wrap my mind around it, I would be happy just to get to a size 12-14.

I'm doing the same, at 244 lbs. It is not easy but worth it. Please keep posting. You are an inspiration.

I, too, had a weight loss and then a weight gain. I am frustrated, but continue to try. Please let me join your motivatiom team!
