I smiled while reading this because I felt the same way the first time I started jogging and made it all the way around the track. I was so happy to accomplish that. my husband has lost about 40 pounds this past year and I've lost thirty. Even though we have a long way to go, just losing that bit has given us back a lot of intimacy and energy to do more than just sit around and watch t.v. I'm so proud of him and he helps keep me motivated to keep going. Thanks for the post!

always plan ahead and make yourself a cooler of healthy goodies for each day. I usually pack pb&j but I use sunbutter due to nut allergies in my room :( , whole wheat pasta salads, grapes, string cheese, crackers, fruit cups, lots of waters. IF you plan ahead than you have no excuse not to eat it. Trust me, other teachers…

Congrats! I've been hearing more and more of the paleo diet. I just don't know if I could give up carbs. I gave up meat and dairy for two years easy but the carbs. You are the bomb! Be sure to be diligent in your maintenance. That was my problem. Good Luck in your new body!
